Always watch, I used to be scared of the needles, once I learned to be a UK EMT I have to watch to make sure its done right. Then the fear left. Also having various drips in for blood/morphine etc helped. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

Sponge Bob is cool, the 'fundies' are weird, BUT If I met Bob and Patrick IRL I would guess they were more than a little 'joyfull'. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

I carry one as the BPA say I have to. The only time I can see using one is, as pointed out, on a line over on your reserve. I don't do CReW. (Yet). "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

Anyone else notice the lack of a main? I mean, larger ring of the 3 hanging loose. Without the other 2 visible. Hows the public going to respect this kinda stuff?

Was that other company also saying Ethereal (winpcap) is spyware? And DameWare Remote Control as well? Looks like i'm going to stick to Spybot, Spywareblaster, Hijackthis and Adaware. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

I fully agree. Banned for life. We don't need folks like that on this site. Agreed. If we can't trust them on a website how can we trust them in the air? "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

Sorry, you'll pay for it either through a direct fee or inderct taxation. You'll also have to pay more tax to fund the salaries of the administrators of the scheme. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

Apart from mentining you can get a prepaid mobile withour ID, for cash, legally. "When they came for the Muslims, i didn't protest, I wasn't a Muslim" Until and if I do something illegal i shouldn't have to prove who i am. As soon as ID cards become a legal requirement then by not carrying one I become a criminal. Remeber, we 9UK) are not involved in a war, its a police 'action'. "This isn't an iron lung, people. In my brief career I've only owned a Z1. It has room for my glasses, keeps, wind off my face (I'm such a sensitve soul) and keeps sand out my ears when I land on the beach. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

Be reasonable, obody is planning to track your every move. If a RFID chip proves the card is yours and you are who you say you are, thats ok. GPS tracking is the stuff of science fiction. Simply not possible on the scale we are talking about. What if you are required to register all (mobile) phone numbers? Then you be tracked better than a hooray Henry after a fox. There's ID cards and ID cards. What if they wanted one with a RFID chip and/or GPS chip in it, so Big Brother could track you 24/7? I think you just answered your own question. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave

The wartime ID card used in the UK outlived the war, and found its way into general use until the early 1950s. Police became used to the idea of routinely demanding the card, until in 1953 the High Court ruled that the practice was unlawful. In a landmark ruling that led to the repealing of the National Registration Act, and the abandonment of the ID card, the Lord Chief Justice remarked : ... although the police may have powers, it does not follow that they should exercise them on all occasions...it is obvious that the police now, as a matter of routine, demand the production of national registration identity cards whenever they stop or interrogate a motorist for any cause....This Act was passed for security purposes and not for the purposes for which, apparently it is now sought to be used.... in this country we have always prided ourselves on the good feeling that exists between the police and the public, and such action tends to make the public resentful of the acts of police and inclines them to obstruct them rather than assist them "This isn't an iron lung, people. I hope so. Now that Blunkett has resigned I hope that the whole Id card (please produce your papers!) dies with his career. Thoughts? "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave
