    Thing is this being applied selectivly, Living a few miles from France (can see at on the ride up) I have spoken with and worked with many Frenchies. One person I worked with this summer who was training to be an English teacher told me she had come across this issue and the Christians and Jews were not having this enforced.     I've noticed that the amount of Gmail invites availble is going up and up. Anyone else think that this is Googles way of marketing their new service? Instead of letting people sign up from the site they pass out invites, making it seem exclusive (sort of) that way people want to have one. Or am I just on Crack? "This isn't an iron lung, people.     As I said, the twats holding the guys hostage should have nothing to do with this. Banning people from wearing their clothing of choice is strange, I believe most French schools do not have a uniform policy, therefore they can wear what they like unless it is offensive to others. I don't think covering themselves up is offensive. I actually think that requiring women to cover up is repressive but if that is their choice so be it. btw, I don't usually post in this forum what with whole argueing internet/special Olympics thing.     Shoulda seen my exit, up on my knees and just kinda fell out. Bit embarrsing really as every dude on the plane apart from me has 1000s of jumps, 1 was on the world record (our CCI), one leases planes for a living and organises boogies, 1 is an AFFI and camera man and the other is ex French military jumper/tandem master and USPA STA, rigger and TM / RW guru. So they all landed spot on to applause from the crowd watching on the beech, I landed on the wet sand, fell over and got dragged, had to go home to wash the salt out of the canopy. BUT I fuckin loved it. It so good to be back again.

    Did a 5k hop'n'pop today, first jump since Perris in Feb. Realised it's my pre second jump as a licensed skydiver at home. One thing that felt weird is because I only did my AFF here and the rests of the jumps elsewhere was that I din't have the buzz that I did when doing AFF. Realised that now that I've got over the fear of leaving the plane etc I don't get the same feeling of conquering my fear. Don't get me wrong, I loved it (even the bollox landing) but its still not the same. I guess you can never do you first jump again. btw also pre second jump from a Cessna (been spoilt by Lets, Otters, Skyvans and Casas), I'll buy the at the end of the boogie.     I'm sorry but these girls believe that they are required to wear this dress this way as part of their religion. Whilst I may not agree with it I do believe that people should be able to wear crosses, skullcaps or headscarves, whatever their religion. I don't agree with the thugs that are threating to kill over this but that should not affect whether the school kids can wear headscarves. "This isn't an iron lung, people.     Mate, if you don't want to jump, don't feel happy jumping don't make yourself. If at some point in the future (days weeks months or years) you do want jump then do. At the end of the day this is a sport that we do to have fun. If it aint fun then why jump? I think it takes more balls to say I dont think I feel happy doing this then to just chuck yourself out and see what happens. I haven't jumped for a while, I could have got on a lift today but the winds were a bit gusty for me. So, I didn't jump. This is not a sport to fuck around with, if you don't feel happy jumping dont do it. When you do, go for it. "This isn't an iron lung, people. You can actually disconnect and not die." -Dave
