I had no issue with the previous version. I have saved the license only as I was warned. I assumed that older versions are available as usual. I was wrong.
-
Thanks. I'm interested, but still not sure if I could use one.
-
You are way better support than paralog.net!
-
Where can I find info about that mPOD?
-
Hiall, Does someone have that version? paralog.net does not provide or support that version I have bought license for less than a year ago. Thanks!
-
It was a great event! Thanks!
-
That looks scary!
-
Merit 170. It was not airworthy anyway.

Winds were really strong yesterday, so we had to show our respect to the God of winds and we sacrificed and burnt a canopy.

weight bags for packing parachute
phoenixlpr replied to djta0707's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Get a clean 5-10 L plastic canister. Fill it with sand or dirt and you got an excellent packing weight. -
There should be a good reason not having more than 3 colors.

Care to back that comment up with actual data Gabor? A day in the sun will not render a canopy un-airworthy. This s is just for you. I meant days. Over 3-5 days you can write it off. Mine was recovered after 2 weeks.
-
Cost: transmitter / gear + locator ~ $300-$400 Benefit: $500-$1700 if the canopy is found... Time is ticking if it lost. After exposed to the sun for day it would not be airworthy anymore..... Mine was not.
-
Me too. So I don't try to fix something if it is not really broken. I did my research after loosing one canopy. Result: not feasible. I would not pay any extra for that. I have not heard anyone loosing a canopy in past 5 years. Loosing one can be bad luck, but it does not happen to often. The receiver or locator is quite expensive too.

This is an excellent habit to get into. yea, especially when the winds turn 180°.. So? Wind speed does matter too. I feel bad seeing junior jumpers chasing the windsock on summer days when the windsock is moved only by thermals.
-
Wow! Very well done!
-
I had a Pilot and I have a Triathlon. More I jump more I like. No swooping involved, jump stepping down.
-
Eh. I did land a Crickett 147 resetve with about 150 jumps. I flies nice and flares nice. How about you?
-
Keep in mind that skydiving canopies are not always for swooping. Majority of the skydivers don't swoop.
-
I've lost a canopy, but still not interested.
-
I got this.
-
See? Its a leap of faith. Just like: "Land into the wind!"
-
142 sec from 4000m, I deployed around 800-900m.

Greeting to you kill line!

Would you make a free-fall jump with that rig?
