Hard Opening - Line Dump Lesson Learned
phoenixlpr replied to ForeverDive's topic in Gear and Rigging
Than think again. There is a good reason to have your lines stowed: keep them organized and prevent them getting knotted on each other. -
Here we go again Have you jumped any Racer?
-
Any container made after 1996 or 1998 would do the trick. Oh, let me guess, your Mirage was sitflying you?
-
can you make this trick? Knot on a toggle?
phoenixlpr replied to phoenixlpr's topic in Safety and Training
Can you make this trick? That's what I got after a fast grab on my toggles. I felt lucky when I could fit a single finger in. -
I got over 1000 jumps inside a Z1 fullface. I liked it much, but I lost it because a worn off clip. I've bought a Factory Diver. Its nice and light, but coming with a fixed visor. I tried last fall. I got it fogged up in the plane and frozen up in 20 seconds. I got an almost blind WS flight than some opening I could not see. I ripped the visor off. Its a nice helmet, but not for icing conditions.

Push the nose in, pull the slider over the nose. Make sure that you slider is on the stops before you close the d-bag.

Suunto does not produce anything for skydiving.

Poll: Total jump numbers and the type of canopy you fly
phoenixlpr replied to listo's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
cosmetics? You got less than 300 skydives some months ago and none took you seriously.... -
Than what is your category for 24" risers?

Poll: Total jump numbers and the type of canopy you fly
phoenixlpr replied to listo's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Sure, although you got some cosmetics on your jump numbers.... -
Well by this thinking we wouldn't ever flown. You know heavier that air things can not fly and iron ships can not float.
-
??? How is that? You rather collapse and pull it through. Pull the rear rings first and the front rings over it so it would stay down. If you don't like it than get your slider bumpers installed on your soft links.

You can find good and valuable articles in Safety section.

I got fogged up and frozen up. Than I have ripped my lens off.

There are GPS devices with barometric altimeter.
-
Lucky you! There is only Strong here. I just pack them
-
Thanks a lot for your great contribution!

Sure. Tighten the screw. Replace the nob with a metal button. I can post pictures about it later.
-
I check slider position every time I close the d-bag. No hard feelings, no hard openings. Ive posted a video above. There is no problem with a new canopy either.
-
See my posts above. Well, I've completed about 1500 packjobs, time 2 time packing for friends or for money. I don't do PyscoPack. I wanted to try, but my intructor/mentor did not let me do it, because he did not know.... I have even tried to roll up my new canopy, but it was not any easier. I pack most of the time on my way except tandems and if I teach student to pack. So its not about good, bad or ugly, just I don't need it.
-
You can stuff it into the hole between your leg and you would walk like a penguin.
-
I jumped that 10 years ago as a student. It was nice.
-
I have no idea what this has to do with packing or this thread, but I still disagree with your statement. I do it all the time. Base Ball cap, turned backwards, pitch right out the door, have never lost one. Sure, you dont you it if you don't put it into the wind. What is the connection? Why do you expect that the material would stay that you in the wind of 100+km/h.
