phoenixlpr replied to Paraman's topic in Gear and Rigging
Well, I have bought 2 Neptunes, 2 main canopy and a reserve from here. No problems so far. What should I complain about? -

kill-line pilot chutes for first jump students?
phoenixlpr replied to riggerrob's topic in Gear and Rigging
I have not seen any. 200-300 sqft canopies can handle a trailing PC and my guess is the non-collapsible PC is cheaper and requires less maintenance. -
Why do you assume that only could be a front riser turn? I can get more speed with a slow rate harness turn than a quick snap 360 with a single front riser.

Slice and dice and a good canopy do not belong together,at least not for me. Midair rigging is the very last resort for me, after plan B. -
On USPA or non-USPA dropzone?

Size does matter. In case of normal or large gear you do not need any hardware to keep it slider on the stops.

Thanks!

sweet... why not post those to dropzone.com? If you had a Bird-Man FFC that summarizes and covers the most important safety related items of this discipline. It is not a fun park where you can read "you might get wet".

Many organizations sponsor SIGs (Special Interest Groups) under their umbrella. EAA comes to mind, with its warbird group, homebuilders group, aerobatics group, vintage group, etc. It's really hard to read you post. I still don't know what are you replying to, what do you quote and what did you write....

and (2) not pushing the slider all the way down before rolling it up into a cone and (3) not rolling the nose into the tail? Do you roll the slider? And roll the nose where? You have a really interesting packing style!

All kind of nasty tricks on roll out.

phoenixlpr replied to mdrejhon's topic in Wing Suit Flying

I see. We are equal, but some of us are more equal. Sure, if you have only one hammer in your toolbox everything start to look like nails....

There is a couple of cross-platform UI toolkit available. Pick one and you may able to build for win32/OSX/linux....

Or you may pack sand or gravel into plastic. It is cheap and does not make damage and easy to remove if you get some leak.
-
well you apparently never went to that DZ, and never recieved their safety briefing. IIRC it stipulates "NO SPIRALING". No Spiraling? At All? You've got to be kidding. Avoid spiralling over the landing area.
-
Its a great idea, but it is not suitable for everything. I think you are looking for smaller packing weight for packing a reserve.

Sure, Its our choice. a lot of the times yes, it's operator error often, that means CHOICE Disagree, attitude or karma isn't a choice. Quit this sport is a choice.....but not a solution.

Or just a tuck tab did not opened....

You must have missed something. They don't fall into the heavy class, with all wings on they are almost gliding.

This case has nothing to do with camera. Leave him alone.
