  1. Airplanes still have collisions in the pattern, no matter what rules the FAA has established. Aircraft, in general, are all planning to touch down at the same spot. Skydivers have the luxury of spreading out, in some cases over 100s of acres. A powered aircraft can fly on hold or abort landing an do a go around, skydivers can not do that.
  2. Gimme a break! Wing suits are around more than 10 years!!! There is still no recommendation wing load recommendation out there. Is someone tells you that you have to have that class of wing suit in order to able to fly with others??? No. Guys still buy big suits with huge "frame" and low-medium weight.
  3. If a closing loop breaks while closing, it should have been replaced a long time ago! Well, tell me where and what from can it get a stronger pull, than closing with a power tool? When closing, you are not applying that much more force than is on the loop when the container is closed - you are only pulling it up far enough to insert the pin. If you are able to break it by pulling on it by hand (even with a powertool), then it was worn to the point of having only a small fraction of its original strength remaining, and was very close to breaking. I keep my loops tight enough and I do pull them hard. Have you noticed that your rig is still getting in shape after you closed and its easier to close it again if you open open and don't pull everything out? I don't think so. Your pin gets out easier. I do make my own loops.
  4. Remember itsn't the arrow, its the indian.....

  6. I test my loops on every closing with a power tool. That is the way I break them. I would not use more than one there.
  7. Viso has no data interface. Bummer!
  8. What do you want to get logged? Just the date/time of the jump and exit altitude? Than get a Neptune!
  9. I've seen a guy with a nice impact rated helmet. It was big and safe and he looked like a guy from Space Balls. Sooner or later he is going to have a nickname like Lord Helmet.
  10. Than why now? A less diving canopy is a better start for the begining. Get a Viso(2) or Neptune!
  11. Well, well, well tell me how! Velcro of toggles are on the outside part of the rear risers. Those have no contact with any riser or front riser loop. How can it catch risers? It won't catch anything if you mate the toggle after landing. Anyway you can choose the way of securing the toggle if you replace your risers.
  12. If you buy a new H/C any brand would do it for you. They are designed for FF in mind.
  13. I'm just wondering how a 14 years old can pay for his jumps.
  14. Oh really? I got a nice/ugly 18 years old piece of V2. I got videos flying my wing suit main flap and both risers covers open. I think your life worth more than $500-600 which can be used for buying any used H/C after year 2000......
  15. Most people are more concerned about you, your jump numbers and jumping with a camera. A camera is not about size, weight.....
  16. What's wrong with having an experienced jumper fly a few feet away if I try to sit and keep an eye on my flap? Why don't you play russian roulette instead? You would not endanger anyone else. Or _buy_ _proper_ gear!!!
  17. True, but first you have to develop one that WILL prevent injury, which you haven't. You just hope it will, based on no proof. You can not prevent things happening in this life.
  18. Same way they did it in the Netherlands. Recent Elsinore incident illustrates very well that jump numbers are NOT equivalent to skill, ability or judgment. Than how to measure skills?
