Sabres are not desiged for students. Is it enough for you? Check PD pages for recommendations! http://www.performancedesigns.com/sabre.htm

Ive done the same. Ive tried/demod a Merit170/Crikett144. 3 openings, one reserve ride.....

I`d rather stay slow. Try not to forget the reason to use a canopy is get you down safely and softly. I dont want to bite dirt. I Finland Im not allowd to user anything over WL 1.35 or any elliptical under 250 jumps. Broken wings heal long...

Anyone care to comment on this packing technique ...?
phoenixlpr replied to Zoter's topic in Gear and Rigging
Really. I was told horror stories about it. Theres penti of conservative skydivers around me..... BTW: PD claims that they dont like to idea to put plenty of material in fron of the nose. Think ! Is it different from the convetional way? I dont think so: they/we fold the "ears" under - with p.bagging "ears" are folded over? Its sound the same for me. -
Why to make it so complicated? Im not 100% sure about the Finnish rules, but its something like that: No own gear allowed for students No elliptical and WL limit 1.35 under 250 jumps I think its good enough.

Incredible! We teach our students to (flat)pack after their 2nd jump. We dont have packers either. I feel Ive done 1.5 times more packjobs than my jump numbers. But anyway you should find someone able to teach not just pack...

Nope, several companies make the parafoils. Just imagine the military advantages of a HAHO jump from 30K 11 miles from the shoreline (international air space) and still land inland undetected. In that sense thats not a sport canopy. (edit because of my bad spelling)

It must be a joke.

Ive sent 3 + 2 hours to clean mine. Ive used a sintetic, but neutral detergent. It was rather hard, but it looks clean and smelss good.
-
Its mandatory in Finland and Hungary too to carry a hook knife for every jump.
-
The canopy is in really good condition and low numbers of jump. But that beast is turning :(.

Thanks. Out club is using Navigators. I have jumps on 280,260,220. I have ~100 jumps on them. I was thinking on them or a 7cell "F111".

Hi, What do you suggest or recommend? If it low cf, max how many jump should it be in?
-
My most expensive was a missing main/reserve freebag/reservePC. It was exposed for 3 weeks........ Im sorry about your protrack,
-

Student Reserve canopies, Which is safer?
phoenixlpr replied to teason's topic in Safety and Training
They just dont want to jump :). In this case it does not really matter what they have. And for this reason they would pick the cheaper one :). -
Student Reserve canopies, Which is safer?
phoenixlpr replied to teason's topic in Safety and Training
Our airfield is surrounded by forest, lakes, town, highway, railroad, power lines. I wouldnt jump gear with round reserve. -
wing loadings for jumpers with 50-100 jumps
phoenixlpr replied to teason's topic in Safety and Training
Its no point to argue with ChasingBlueSky or Ron. Reasons: 1. They are right most of the time. 2. They do take you or anyone serious under 500 or their jump number...... -

Responsiveness, dive recovery characteristics are not independent from WL. ASAK Responsiveness ~ WL. -

So? Thats clear that he is looking for trouble. I wouldnt be surprised reading about him from the Insidents forum.... I hope he had the patience too for makeing some hundreds of jumps before trying that. You can quote me. Ive managed to break my ankle @ jump nr.87 with a PD Navigator WL
