  1. cypres generation? I think that`s the general attitude overseas. Fighting with fears and nightmares and urge to be safe.
  2. If you can pack, you can pack anything....
  3. All I know, I`ve tried..... http://dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1596446;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread I had 11 jumps in my canopy. It`s not a fight to pack anymore.
  4. Is your canopy dry? Is the air you stored dry? :)
  5. It can be legal for a foreigner :).
  6. Ah, I`m sorry for confusion.
  7. Heh??? I don`t know why are you explain it, because that is almost the way it is done. Anyway we don`t scale anyone, just ask about their weight. Gear is about 10kgs.
  8. Think again. How many webbing is meeting in a normal harness? 3. If one of them to be replaced all should be sewn back again. How about the articulated harness? 1 for 1.
  9. If some part of the harmness is to be replaced it can be done or it can be done easily.
  10. Our manifest program takes it into account. It calculates a report about the current load, but the accuracy is questionable.
  11. Or they might take a new practice to measure the passengers too and start charge them for overweight :).
  12. If I were you I would wait 200+ jumps before start induced speed approaches...
  13. Pro: cheaper maintenance for the harness.
  14. ??? I can`t really remember under that load of adrenaline after cut-away. I do remember it was flying stable and strait and I had a soft, stand-up landing with it. It is the smallest canopy I was ever flying.
  15. I did know that the man who sold the original setup was overloading his main, but he has not advertised that he was doing the same for the reserve. One of my mentor should have know about that issue, because he was the men in the middle. It seems I have not done my homework. I had to but the rest of the gear when I had lost the main after cut-away in the 3rd test jump of it. This year I`ve checked pages of Flight Concepts. I`ve seen those data. I have asked my mentor about risks. I was told that it wont effect opening, but its going to bring me down faster to the ground.
  16. If you don`t cover all kinds of scenarios you poll won`t really tell anything.
  17. I have a Cricket reserve from 1991. I had one ride with it after I got 4 lines broken on my main. I got some line twists and just kicked them out. It was flying stable and I got a soft, stand-up landing. I think its worth the value.
  18. I was jumpiing with a LET-410. There was a red line and a text in somewhere int mid of the plane. It said: not more than X people between this line and the tail......
  19. We used a huge yellow arrow as a backup device for radio, and table-tennis racket like stuff for ground operation.... So up-high just follow the arrow. On final follow the ground instructor: do the same movement that he shows and flare when he is imitating a flying bird :).
  20. So, As you see I`m not plaining to downsize for 400-500 jumps. It was no choice like that. My previous main was a Merit170, 4 lines broken, so I have tried my reserve too.
  21. thanks what is a himidizer? Honestly that is my invention with a typo for humidifier. A machine makes the air in a room more humid. I know your pain. I have packed my Pilot in PVC floor. It should have been lubricated with silicon, because I have got a slippery spot on that place.
  22. I have a Pilot, I assume same material. 1. Use a himidizer 2. Dont pack on PVC, pack on a carpet 3. Wrap the tail perfectly, it helps controlling on the ground. 4. Do wolmarpack 5. Do use The Reverse "S" Fold Technique Dont expect to be nice and neat. Not because of the suggested methods, but the fresh material. Anyway its a really good lesson to learn how to pack.
  23. This excel stuff is B.A.D. Bad As Designed
