Is his/her fear "management" is our business? Would you give any non-trivial advice to the same kind of jumper if he/she is not your student?
-
Are you the dev? il`s advocate? If my post is not about you why do you reply?

I had my tib broken. My karate master has told me it would take 6 month from removal of plaster to get 95% healed. He has right. I had jumps in 2 month after removal. I`ve got a tib/fib screw removed. I have 4 screws and a steel plate left. I donno is it a reminder or a reinforcement ;).

I`m not totally healthy in this moment so you might consider this as an effect of fewer. -There`s a new trend here to give pieces of advice to newbie instead of redirect..... -The source of good judgement is not only the jump numbers........
-
Hkm. I was writing about the knowledge you may gain or in the Incidents forum by reading.... And I have given a not too difficult example....
-
It turns out some month ago. Ask manufacturer about the start of the production! That is not an all around canopy, so you may guess the size of the market and the number of competitors in its category. So?

I hope you have read the rest too. I`ve expected this approach from you and from few others too. Try to understand the point of someone who has less jumps and experience than you. I don`t say that I have to make all mistakes, but the right emphasis from the experienced might make a big difference on the short moment of judgement.

I`ve suspect that without any prior knowledge. Beer for the Pyramid jumpers, of course just right after any jump :).
-
Have you tried to read gear reviews? I`ve read some about Blade.

I have started Student Rig at 0.65:1 wingloading. My example: I have started jumping with my own gear at the WL that is not so highly recommended here. I had 9 jumps with it and 8 of them was a perfect, soft and stand-up landing. 2nd was a sidewind with sliding on grass and having a grass stain. This was in the end of September. The season has ended, I had nothing else to do just read here. Just by reading here I`ve collected that amount of "knowledge" or you may call it fear that I did feared my first jump in the beginning April. I managed to lost all the little confidence that I`ve hardly collected. I still have a healthy level of fear left after 12 jumps. I think you might know that state of mind when you do practice EP 3+ times before jump out in every jump. When you still have the bad feeling every time that situation is to perfect to be true and staying on the edge until you get the packing area..... Well done boys.......you have a success to plant fear in others mind. It`s really nice to save us not to commit those faults that you managed to gain experience. edit: spelling

There is a hype over the WL here. You can see its a nice source of confusion for beginners. I`m not sure if its a good idea to register or read here for a subA or A class(USPA) jumper. I can feel they are collecting fear and confusion here. Don`t take offend, but recently "skygods" are giving full detailed description about everything instead of the short and polite redirect to own JM/coach/instructor.

I do envy you. You can jump where the sky is just blue. Image a configuration like 5/8 clouds on 650m and 8/8 on 950m. We can jump because we ha ground vision. Have fun with a white glider over 5/8 white clouds!

What a hack is that swoop mode? By the limits it looks like standard mode.
-
Speed is a vector. It has no meaning without the direction or are you talking about horizontal and vertical components of your speed?
-
Khm. I`m going to be quite angry if I forget to cock, because that case I can not close my coontainer due to the hidden pin. So I have to start over the packing. Just my your routine like: -set the brakes -unstow slider -cock PC

It`s going to be fine. I think its not an issue. Students having their own wind limit. I think their instructor can decide go or not to go for them.

They seems to have self test and diagnostics....

You`ve forgot to tell that it was the same with Cypress. First Cypress units have just run out of business because the manufacturer stated 12 years and no more... Vigil is something like Cypress was 12 years ago, but in the tech-level of Cypress2.

I`d rather search old threads. There`s plenty of posts about this.

Cool down! :). They are coming.

Hi, I`ve got this picture. It`s an abandoned diamond mine in Siberia. The hole is about 1,5 km deep and 540m wide. It takes about 90-120 minutes to drive a track down.
-
BTW Once I was almost hit by a glider rolling on a taxiway after landing.................I`va almost forgot to look around before cross the taxiway. Yack. You can hear them.
-
VFR rulez . :) Once or twice we had to take another jump run. We do know others, we all listen to the radio.
-
??? Why do you hate them? We operate from an airfield shared with sport planes, gliders, hang-gliders, para-gliders. We had no conflict so far. We use to check airspace on climbing. Ok. A C-206 is a small plane and we can have a good view with a plexi door.

I`ve hread this from a pilot. Its a really nice quote .
