What could cause that violent opening?
-
I've started with SL too. After a dozen of jumps: Wow, the first 2000m jump and the long freefall was something!!! After that jump I was cleared for any altitude.
-
They stated its for demo or decoration and _not_ for jumping.

I have noticed too that even amount of harness left out from leg strap does not guarantee even load under canopy. I suspected a "built in" turn. I have found if I feel my leg straps tight equally I load my canopy equally.

Thank for your warning! I do keep my break lines away from my helmet if my visor is open.

getting jump number up. how often do you jump?
phoenixlpr replied to arai's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Quite much. Starting from exit to landing accuracy and canopy control. I think there is always something to learn with any jump. If I don't have anything else to focus on I have more time to work other things. I don't think that you can get jump numbers only without gaining any new piece of experience. -

I had jump fopr 42 Euro too. So? It was for 6000m jump. Let's compare apples to apples. What kind of jumps are you talking about? anyway If you want to collect more jumps same period do low altitude jumps like 1000m, they take less time and cost less too. -
I don't get one thing. Why do you need a collapsible slider for the turkey gear?

What are possible standards for measuring sqf of a HP canopy?

Thanks for your support . -
Ok. I agree. So why is that the (PV) only manual mentioning? It seems its the only manufacturer who is so concerned about it.
-
Have you read anything similar from any manufacturer?

Even an airfoil can be modelled with a computer system. It should not be a problem. -
Opinions wanted about a 2-step RSL procedure

I take this back. ABS is a good example. If you don't consider that you have ABS and you pump breaks as you would do without it you might get offroad or etc. So you have to act different if you have it. -

AFAK ABS won't stop you faster, but it helps you keep the control over steering.... Its not a good example, skydiving gear and car don't mix. -

How do you know that? Have you been to real EM? -
Not really. They are similar, but not the same. I've read somewhere around here . PA has "optimized" HiPer's design some points.

Thanks for your review. I'm considering Nitro as my next canopy.

I'm still surprised why is it so simple to specify the wing area for aircrafts. -

Sorry. Those were not real questions. Its hard to make a standard if there are any answer like "it depends". I don't know why the term of wing area is so simple in aviation. AFAK Spectre is not rectangular. -

What is the sqf of a HP canopy ? Do you mean area? What kind of area? What is a HP canopy by definition? -
Check that section with the initial jump, because of its fabric stretch on the first jumps.....
-
Getting more jump/freefall. Correct me, I think you should have more than 500+ jumps for wingsuite.
