  1. I don't think so. They have quite narrow angle of view.
  2. But, I do have: high front riser pressure. I don't think it's a big deal. No canopy can be outstanding for every aspect. I love mine the way it is.
  3. Yeah, That's it! You are worrying too much. Be simple and positive: avoid entanglements and low collisions. Practice EM procedures including RSL disconnecting too! Communicate with other in the same load about their planes and landing patters! Fly a simple and predictable pattern!
  4. Who is responsible for the students? We always have a ground attendant for students. If there is none, no student is going up. Licensed skydivers taking care about each other and we do take care about our students. It's a club :).
  5. Have you landed out? Has anyone told you the stay/sit on the ground if you have injury and you need help. That's a simple signal. If I were you I would've left the gear in the field if I can feel I have some major injury.
  6. We had a better way. 2 of us were reading and checking the list on the gate from the airport.
  7. It really tells something about the quality of service there.
  8. IMHO just after everyone else landed. He/She could be landed out, injured.....
  9. OK. What makes you quit? How many reserve rides do you have? How many of your bones were broken during skydiving? Have you run out from motivation?
  10. Sounds much better than having 17 hours between two.
  11. Go for it! They are a bit different. You'll have your preference after you tried both "class".
  12. IMHO most of hte cases you do want to use RSL and I think it takes more time to connect than disconnect. You can have 4 cases with RSL: -Connected, no action on mal with RSL. -Not connected, no action on mal with RSL. -Connected, disconnect on mal. -Not connected, connect after opening midair. I think the 4th is worst of all. I`d rather use RSL if I were you.
  13. Khm. I don't think it is so simple. How can you start or progress with AFF if the ceiling is 1200 or 1500m?
  14. A first timer heading towards to the side of the forest nevertheless he had radio on. He was flaring on 5m, stopped moving forward on 2-3m high, and dropped strait down, ended up with a broken ankle/knee. I was giving first aid to him and holding his foot until ambulace arrived. There was a grin of faith that I've broken my ankle 2 years before the same rig.
  15. I think its a good practice to check altimeter before boarding.
  16. The price is/was really nice, but I've moved away after reading the owner's manual.
  17. Come on! Me? I was not even talking about that. I don't have RSL and I do jump without AAD anytime. I had student jumps with mechanical AAD on main canopy. I had 2 HD jump on my VectorII and I'm not even planing any. Am I device dependent? You must've been kidding.
  18. What do you mean by that? Dependent on what?
  19. It was my first one. I was quite surprised by the first real EM situation. Instead of panic I have found piece and the taught EM procedures there.
  20. Yes, but it took no time to realize what is the next action to take. It was jump #122. I was not in the state of panic, but my legs were shaking after I landed. It was FXC on that gear too. I was not even thinking about it.
  21. You would have still higher chance to survive that landing with the small reserve....
  22. I did the same -waiting and noticed that RSL had no effect, because main was not out- and pulled the silver too, but I was not waiting for any AAD....
  23. I feel lucky. I've missed the step, gear and the tail several times.
