I've seen braun jump suit/overall for students. That has some advantage too .
-
I don't think that would happen. Simpler is better.

First of all, I don't want to open so low. My second reason for not doing that my resources are limited I don't think I'm going to have 3 rigs in the same time. Like a skydiving rig, main ZP150 or smaller, a hybrid Vector3 with skyhook and base canopy + a base rig ,even main shared with the previous.
-
Why should I buy a big-ass Vector3+Skyhook+large reserve+base canopy for wingsuite skydive? I`d rather fly something with WL 1.2 than 0.8 if winds are higher. For braking BSR in order to gain 10-20-30 sec of flight? Altitude is a kind of insurance. You must have been kidding. Its a really bad idea.

It can be that. AFAK 2 pilot is needed for a multiengine plane at least in Europe.
-
Sure. You won't be as cool as other guys with fancy FF or RW suits, but it will do for you. We have nice yellow overalls for student as a jumpsuit. They call it banana suit :).

Fear gives wings :).
-
I have not seen an Otter or L-410 flown by a single pilot.
-
Not to mention AFAK you need 2 pilot to fly a twin engine turbine plane. I look funny on take off when one pilot was handling the controls and the other was keeping throttle and feather in hand. :)

How many engine out situation did have so far?

Why Don't Skydiving Pilot Chutes Have Vented Apexes?
phoenixlpr replied to tso-d_chris's topic in Gear and Rigging
I jump a "small" ( 86 cm in diameter) F111 kill-line PC. I had some trouble with it. I had the pin on the kill line and it was pulled back inside the bridle. From 150 jumps it was not killed 15 times. That was a problem, my bridle was spooned up and I had a "funny" landing with an anchor on my canopy. I got it fixed anyway. My pin is on the bridle finally. I'm happy with it. Why do you wanna fix something that isn't broken? -
Collapsable Pilot Chute on a Sabre 190. Thoughts?
phoenixlpr replied to Big_Red's topic in Gear and Rigging
3,5 years ago I've broke my ankle under a Navigator220 ~WL 1.0. It was my dumm-ass fault. I had 87 jumps, 37 in that season in 2,5 months. It was just a tib. I can't guess what could have been under a 190,170 or 150. You'd rather learn from my example or ....you may have yours. -
Why Don't Skydiving Pilot Chutes Have Vented Apexes?
phoenixlpr replied to tso-d_chris's topic in Gear and Rigging
I think his answer was correct. Its no need for vented PC in skydiving. It would bring more complex design without any real improvement. -
I don't think so. Most of the contries tandem jump is a student program, and there are regulation about the outfit of the student.

It does not mean anything. You can have all lottery numbers from the past, you don't have more chance to win tomorrow jackpot.

Collapsable Pilot Chute on a Sabre 190. Thoughts?
phoenixlpr replied to Big_Red's topic in Gear and Rigging
I was jumping around WL 1.2 and sometimes my collapsable PC was not collapsing and it followed a "funny" landing. IMHO collapsable PC is a must. By the way you should not go over WL 1.0 -
Thats wrong. In BASE they dont jump without reserve, they do you without main. :)

Breaking separation on purpose can be a good base of grounding.

Is there a reason why fighters does not slalom around commercial flight? Does is have to do with FAA or just common sense?
-
I think buzzing without previous consent can be considered as a near miss. So it can not be safe.

Just like a pair of scissors with vinegar. They can remove any stain from any material
-
That's interesting. I've used them as a student. I've used PPKU/KAP too ;).
-
Why not, but it won't be easier. I think bagging makes you sweat more. There are some tricks worth leaning.

Let me guess, you had AFF course....
