    I have not counted how many line twists I had under student or big canopies. Not a big deal to solve it. They fly strait. I had one under reserve too.

    AFAK there is no such a think like emergency brake on a car. I hope you have a real reserve in your container and not just a big fat pillow.....

    Have you ever though about switching to golf or bowling? Of course its going to open! It did and its going to if I ever have to use it again. Anyway why do you jump a gear that you don't trust? One gear has failed to open(main) with me twice. In a squence. I have not jumped that anymore, but no complains for that reserve :). Every time I board a jump-plane I'm ready deploy my main or use my reserve if I have to. On the worst case I'm even willing to ride the plane down .

    Even double wrap is a mystery for me. For PD Nav (drakon lines): Club1: double wrap all stows Club2: double wrap all stows , except locking stows... locking stows are loose some times... I have not heard about any baglock on those student equipment. rulez are rulez..

    Nope. I had about 160 jumps on mine so far. I had 2 stable line twist from bad body position. My WL was/is between 1.2-1.4.

    Can you warn him/her in freefall? Nope. In the door: there is no time, no way to clearly communicate. There is a risk/chance to have a premature opening at he door too, that can that the plane,pilot and/or people out too. You can not avoid every possible danger, there is no life without luck. I'd rather warn the jumper on the ground after the jump, because it may happen again. I've seen myself with an open main flap on a 20 way RW attempt from the video. I was one of the floaters. It was from 2 planes. Would it be a solution if someone would try to direct me back to the plane? I've got your message about FF dangers anyway.

    I think it was too late to warn someone for open main flap. On the ground: ok On the plane: ok Outside of the plane or freefall: too late...

    I had 2 rides with square reserves: Pdf Magic and GlidePath/FC Cricket. I was wondering that I would chop Magic if it would be the main over me, I have no complains about Cricket, flying nice, landing nice.

    BASE is not a skydive. PERIOD. If you are just talking about it, its quite lame. If you even BASE jump with that attitude you are going to get on the list, sooner or later. What list? The Base fatality list.....

    Some people has sense for orientation. Can you get lost in a foreign city or forest? If yes, that's not a surprise if you can get lost midair.

    I had somwthing similar: 4(5) screws and a plate in my fibula, 1 screw was removed along with the plaster.

    Do you searh. I had a PRK last year. I wouldnt've had LASIK, because of skydiving. Its too late for you.
