I saw Anchorman about two weeks ago. Kinda dumb in a good way, starts out slow but for about 3/4 of the movie we sat there with tears of laughter running down our cheeks. Don't want to oversell this movie and it may not be everyone's cup of tea but was a good goof for a Sunday afternoon. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

A couple of the guys on the Honda Magna board I frequent have had tank dents removed at the local "dent popper" shop for a very reasonable fee. Depending on the type and size dent, it's worth checking out. BTW, very nice ride. Ride Safe. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Yep, Skydive Temple is one of the best. I ran about three tandem certification courses for Rich quite a while back and the folks at that DZ made me feel very welcome and went way out of their way to make everything happen without a hitch. I made a few jumps with some old skydiving friends about a month ago after an eight year break. I wondered if any interest would be rekindled but it just wasn't happening. Wendy, I think the darker ripcords were refered to as "fiberglass" ripcords as opposed to actual, no shit, plastic ripcords. "Fiberglass" seemed to hold up better than plastic while being stored year round in the trunk of a car. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

OMG!!! I had a Dynasoar jump suit that looked exactly like that. I actually had to do a cut away on my Classiflyer and the release system worked great, uh....after I finally found the cutaway handle. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Cold hard cash. They're paying me to allow them to have the thrill of a skydive with the minimum amount of training and risk. For $30 they're getting nigh on 8000 jumps worth of experience to allow that to happen. That's a great deal when you think about it. As an aside, it's always nice to see new tandem instructors starting up. They are all excited about dealing with new students, and "giving back to the sport", (whatever the hell that means). It's also really nice to see those same instructors on a 110 degree day, about to strap their 15th customer from the SF Bay home for chronically obese halitosis sufferers, while their friends are off doing 4 way. Bottom line, don't get carried away with the newness of it all. The test of a true tandem instructor is whether they can make that fat fuck feel as good about their jump as they did the 100 pound hottie they took on load one, and whether they remain as focused and sharp on that jump as the previous 14, when they are dog tired, sore, and really want to be somewhere else. With me, if the subject ever comes up, I just say "I used to jump". However, I did make two jumps three weeks ago ( first jump in five years) so that's not necessarily true anymore.

I think the knockoff called a Hotshot and no, it didn't have a TSO stamp on it. I remember several people had their rigs grounded until they got a properly certified PC in their reserves. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Dave, Del McCoury band played the last two years in a row at the Old Settlers Bluegrass Festival in Austin. They're VERY bluegrass in that none of the instruments are amplified, just played into PA mikes and the four part vocal harmony is sung into one vocal mike. Love their song " '52 Vincent Black Lightning". Had back stage passes and got to meet and hang with them for a while after their set. Real nice folks. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

Hey efs4ever, I got my 1983 Vector with the Cruiselite in it out three weeks ago and made a couple of jumps on it. First jump on that rig in 8 years. First jump for me in five years. Everything still worked as advertised. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
