    In the 80s when we were jumping at Aero Country, north of Dallas, a skydiver/jump pilot friend also flew a corporate DC-9 out of Dallas as his regular job. One Sunday afternoon, while ferrying the aircraft back to Dallas from a passenger drop off he gave us the most amazing low and slow buzz job in that DC-9, right down the DZ runway. It looked like he was no higher than 200 ft. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    They used to have one at WFFC and I jumped it every chance I got It was a very kickass jump aircraft, very fast climb to altitude and a great big door. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Prepare to be bored and sleepy. In AF basic, we marched and went to inane classes where we learned about insignia of rank, the UCMJ (Catch 22), and many other useful and interesting things, marched some more to end up wait in endless lines for no apparent reason other than have a TI yell at you for some petty shit and, if it wasn't too hot or too cold outside, did some sorta punk ass PT. AF basic was a friggin' joke. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    I was at Nationals in 1980 in Muskogee and Whitey and a group From HI had tents pitched in the same area as ours. Seems they had their motorcycles shipped to CA and then rode them to Muskogee for the Nationals. What a wild group of people they were, sleep was out of the question most of the time but it was much fun. I was totaly saddened when I heard about the crash. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    I totally agree with Michele and Nightingale, keep the cat indoors. I've had 6 cats (2 brothers each time) over the last 15 years that were indoor/outdoor cats. Only one is still around and it's because he stays indoors now and he's fine with it. Lost 2 of them to dogs, 1 to a coyote and the other 2 I don't know what happened to. As far as the litter box, use the crystal type litter mentioned above or the one I just started using made from pine. It's absolutely odor free if you clean it out every other day. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Yaaaa, they got it. Way to improvise and overcome!!!!! Congrats to everyone involved. I used to be based at both Korat and Takhli and it's been real fun just hearing about those places again and seeing the pictures with skydiving going on above them. Thank you World Team, thank you. This has been just wonderful.

    Baring death or permanant injury, I couldn't imagine anything that would have made me quit skydiving after I started and it was full bore for 15 years. In the last 5 years of the 20 that I skydived the whole concept just started getting stale and I lost interest. However, I just got invited on an old fart load for later this spring and am gonna do it. Who knows??? The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Billvon, what's the name of the hotel where you're staying? From the view of the wat, it looks like you could be at the Siri Patana hotel. I spent a year in that heat and humidity at Korat with no ari conditioning of any type and never got used to it. Best of luck on the 372 attempt.     The prime reason that I hung it up was due the disc damage to my neck. After thousands of tandem and camera jumps, there is no disc material left between the vertabrae in my neck, it's just bone on bone and it doesn't take much strenuous activity until the pain is unbearable. I elected to quit skydiving rather than have surgery that may or may not improve the condition. I know one person that had the procedure done and is no better off as a result. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Used to do this while doing demos. Wuffos usually think you're going to die because it looks like there's no way it would ever reinflate. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Had a pipe burst in the well house at the farm in Kentucky last winter and had an ice skating rink in the back yard before we found out where the water pressure went. I wrapped the well house pipes in the hot wrap mentioned in a post above and have had no further problems. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Hey Damit! You stole that idea from me!! Of course if I can get an active duty slot in the guard when I retire I will probably do nothing! Laters, . As popular as the "Wal Mart Greeter" job seems to be for later in life, you'll have a lot better chance of getting that guard slot. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
