    337, since the link doesn't seem to work, are these aircraft you're talking about resemble DC-6s that have had the front 1/3rd modified to resemble a 747? If so, there were four of them that sat for three years where I worked at Love Field in Dallas in the early 70s. Slowly, they were made airworthy and flown away. Always wondered what happened to them. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    The first time I ever jumped at a big DZ was at old Z-Hills in 1979 when I had 60 jumps. I had gotten my rig back from the rigger the night before from a reserve repack, did a hurried reinstall of the main, packed and got on a private jet in Dallas heading to Tampa with dreams of skydiving glory in my head. Finally got to Z Hills, got on a DC-3 load organizer load, exited with the wrong group, opened with my canopy in backward, landed waaaay off the DZ, hiked back to my car, went back to my hotel and did other things besides skydiving that weekend. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Seriously, Pete's been ahead of his time on some of his major projects. I was told that "Jump" was offered to Van Halen for the MTV video of that song. Reportedly, Pete refused the bandmembers request to use their faces overlayed over the actual skydiver's faces and the idea was dropped. That's just what I was told by another skydiver so it must be ture. Gemini, that would be great if I could get a copy, I'd come all the way down from Dallas to Steve's place and pick it up. Maybe old Steve would loan an old buddy a rig to jump for old time sake and even have his little brother Tim there to jump with us, ya' think? Maybe monkeys will fly outta my ass, too.     Pete McKeemon and Larry Turner were the principals behind this video. Pete can be seen as the cook in the restaurant and Larry is the heartbroken "leading man". I was in some of the skydiving scenes that took place at Aero Country outside McKinney, TX along with Steve Boyd's little brother Tim (), Calvin Reeves, Bruce Head, Mike Brewer, Andy Eschenauer and many others that jumped at Aero Country at the time. All the indoor scenes were shot at the restuarant at Aero Country and most of the skydiving scenes took place either at Aero country or old Spaceland. Sure would like to have a copy of that video but nobody around here has one anymore. According to Pete, he doesn't have one. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Sounds similar to chili mac. We had that in the Air Force mess halls on a somewhat regular basis. Nothing more than chili and macaroni, couldn't be that much different than chili spaghetti. Haven't had chili mac since I was discharged last century and had really forgotten about it. Chili spaghetti, sounds pretty good, have to try it. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    I did a tandem jump with the first woman, Lynn Spruel (sp?), to land a fighter type aircraft aboard a carrier at night. After opening, her first comment was "well, that was OK but it doesn't even come close to a night trap in weather". The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Russell, that is soooooo wonderful of you to do that. My brother's daughter is DS and I never could convince her to go riding with me on my motorcycle much less skydive tandem with me. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Damn Avion, with that debrief, you need to think about going straight into an AFF Instructor Certification Course. :-)) I've heard a lot less detailed debriefs from IEs. Keep goin', you've just begun this adventure. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Jumped a T-28 Trojan, a 2 seat Airforce/Navy trainer, only this one was modified with a one person photographers bay in the belly with a hole just large enough for someone with a rig to exit through. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Did you ever put a piece of plywood on your rig and park your car on it overnight? That would allow you to get one more between the door and the fusalage in 10 way lineup. Sparky HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Damn, I forgot about that one. I know folks that would cut the manufacturers tags out of underwear, t shirts, shoes, frap hats, etc. trying anything to make themselve lighter. Anything for an advantage. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    We had a guy who was booted just because he got extremely drunk, pulled an M-16 out of the trunk of his car and threatened to kill anyone who tried to disarm him. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

    Damn, glad to see that thing didn't totally collapse during the rollovers and your'e alright. I drive one of those things to work and back each day and must confess that I feel much safer on my motorcycle. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
