  1. Hmm, Syria, Lebanon, Saudia Arabia, just to name a few... Go back and READ the post ... it read no better terror supporting state than Iraq TO DEMONSTRATE USA MILITARY POWER. Syria supports terror and NOW they are leary of us -- Lebanon (Qudaffi (sp?) has now said they will submit. Saudia Arabia, as a state, are too great an ally even though they have radicals within. BUT AGAIN, the post read Iraq was the best terror supporting state to "demonstrate our might" to these other countries.
  2. Just an opinion here. With the war on terror there was no better terror supporting state than Iraq to demonstrate USA's power. Even since 1990 we have made tremendous advances in military technology. Plus we know the area having recently fought there and having a lot of info. What better place to show countries that support terror what we are capable of doing. If you do not believe me ... fine. But why did Quadaffi (sp?) turn soooo friendly all of a sudden?
  3. Speaking as one who had a more inside track on this event than others.(My A-team set up caches, safe houses and other equipment for Delta on that op) The quick turn around had more to do with the fear of what Reagan and the Republicans would do as he built up the Army once in office. Carter was depleting the military (He was attempting to deactivate 7th Special Forces Group -- Reagan on the other hand, knew the future was in Special Ops and he not only kept 7th Group, but reactivated 3rd & 1st Group) You are right, the same could happen here if we switch, but only in the opposite results. Just as the little country of Somalia knew along with Clinton as Commander in Chief.
  4. Tha's sortof like asking who sucks the worst? Detroit Lions or Texas Rangers
  5. I can FF in it -- but of course, I can FF in a shirt & shorts. What I needed the drag for is RW. I use it for Rw and some FFing. It seems I fall like a ROCK in belly & FF. This allows me to stay with all the lightweights at my small DZ whether we are turning points or FFing. I have other FF suits to fly with "normal" size people. Dress for Success!
  6. When I lived in CA I occaisionally drove by a sign that said "Hickey Park" I always took the kids out and used some girls' lipstick to make hickies and take pictures of the gang. I had about a dozen pictures in the 18 months I lived there.
  7. Am I the only guy who typically won't read a long post like that?
  8. Truth is I have made several RW jumps with it -- no problems. I had more traditional RW suits that "fit" and I always sunk out. Yeah, I know, learn to fly better -- shouldn't we all. Right now it is a great suit for RW and some FFing. I have 2 other suits I can use for FFing.
  9. not according leading economist -- it was down turned in the latter Clinton years. 911 changed a lot, but it is on the rebound That depends on WHAT your market is and WHERE it is if what we did to Iraq was PROVOKING war, I'd hate to see what happens when we actually declare it! Yeah, let's give it back to Hillary and the democtrats, it was sooooo much better then! I'm voting Bush in '94! again!
  10. I don't want to wear the label freeflyer, bellyflyer, etc. Personally, my goal is to fly my body in any dimension. That would make me a better coach and videographer (and skydiver).
  11. Yeah, Kris, they suck at tracking. But, I can always sew them up later, no problem. You need to come jump with me at Skiatook for old time's sake.
  12. About 200 ... 90% on a small cessna DZ. Man I wish I had time for more!
  13. They're like little pockets on the side of your lower legs - They inflate as they catch air and will slow you HD descent. I'm over 200 MPH without them.

    Tattoo's

Simple, petroleum base products leech the color out of the tat.
  15. Oh, just helping ChiChi (our manifest girl who makes them) sell them. I'm the resident ROCK at our DZ.
  16. Yeah, for me to "dress for success" I need it. Before I got it I sunk on everyone. Now, not so!
  17. Just one question .... Am I suposed to be bothered that they feel that way?
  18. Just got my new jump suit -- made by Parachi Designs (info can be found on www.skydiveairtight.com) I'm a fast faller so she made me a suit I can use for RW and also for FF. I used it today and sat nicely, and the gills helped me get head down and hold stable as well. She charges between $225 - 275 for it all. A LOT cheaper than others and the turn around is days, not months! It has ... gills rw grips reinforced knees reinforced butt cargo pocket inside pocket embroidered with name and D license # swoop cords I picked out the fabric and made the design What do you think?
  19. In 1959 when I was 4! I didn't think they did that anymore!? Hurt like #$%^&* Of course it was 1959!
  20. I have nothing to offer on the DVDs but I do recommend going AFF. I had a lot of military static line jumps and years after I got out I went IAD (Instructor Assisted Deployment) I struggled on most every level. I switched to AFF and passed all 7 levels first time through. Some methods are not bad, but just don't work for others. I needed the hands on experience approach of AFF. Try that and you'll probably be surprised!

    Tattoo's

I like them if they are well thought out and done well (artistically). By that I mean spend some time thinking about what you want -- as it is there for life. Mine is my Special Forces patch. Cheap art makes any tattoo look crappy. Just my $0.02 worth!
  22. Some how I didn't fail in AFF, BUT I failed a lot of IAD levels first. I moved to AFF from a DZ that was a IAD mill because I had to keep repeating first the practice pulls, then the clear and pulls, then the 10 second delays ---- I just needed a different method. HANG IN THERE! When yo get your license few people (if any) will ask how many levels you failed.
  23. Pastor to bikers and skydivers (www.therocktulsa.com) to pay the bills and fulfill my calling -- illustrator/cartoonist to pay for my "altitude". Now that I teach and coach I can use some of my cartooning money for the Harley instead of jumps.
