As Pajarito mentioned SpecOps guys use them for protection. These are mines that destroy themselves after a short time. Also the claymore is considered part of these mines. This has been a staple in perimeter defense, and are only setoff by command det. I don't know about the most violent canopy spin but I got to do an intentional with a skyhook on a stiletto as a main (probably the most twitchy on the toggles) . Un-stow one toggle, put a few line twists in it and it will take you for a wild ride. Reserve opened with no twists. If you were doing a solo, it's pretty hard to "orbit." It was probably more of a turn. Orbiting is usually refering to a two way that going around each other. Almost like carving, but unintentional. Are you flying a side by side or a romeo hd position? Often times having a slight twist in your torso will cause a turn that you will either have to counter with your legs or straighten your torso. As a new freeflier it is hard to know if you are actually stable or not without a reference point (another jumper) I'd try to take a trip to Texas and hit some of the DZ's there and jump with some more experienced jumpers. The guys at Skydive Dallas (team vibe) are some really nice guys are good jumpers. Did you measure for the suit yourself or did you have someone do it for you? Typically sizing issues happen with the measurments. I bought a suit from Kurupee a few months ago. Quality was good and quick service. Pisses me off as well. If that's what the waitress wanted than that's the tip she would have gotten. Another thing I dislike is gratituity included. I always tend to get nervous when the plane looses an engine right after take-off, (and it was a dog with two). Especially with nice tall trees everywhere but behind you. The kinks they were working out had to do with the logbook functions, not the altimeter functions. They are very accurate and have been operating well. After that it's personal preference. Many people like to see the numbers rather than a see a dial. It's probably more accurate than your altimeter.
