I have sold quite a bit of used gear, and often times (especially reserves) I will send the gear to a DZO or STATIONARY Rigger's Loft, or reputable gear store before I get payment. I do stipulate that there will be no price negioation and if the buyer rejects it, they pay shipping both ways. Depends on lenght of time. For the winter, Put in a dark dry place, in a bag is fine. Usually both canopies are unpacked. Between weekends, packed or unpacked doesn't matter (until you get to the DZ and you're trying to make the load that is on a 5min call). I'd suggest a gear bag or a military kit bag. Technically you pay for your own personal copy, but when you put it on a video you have now illegally distributed that artist's music. As said earlier that skydiving is really too small for them to care about. (as far as personal movies). So in the interest of finding good deals that aren't scams, I say that we build a list of either good or bad camera stores. Let's make the responses "I'll go back to ____ b/c their customer service, etc." Or "___ sucks ass because they overcharged my cc, waited 10mo to deliver, etc.." Bashing for no reason doesn't help someone who's looking to find a good reseller. I've used B&H Photo Video, They have a wide selection, fairly low prices, and deliver what they say. I always keep a pull-up cord in my suit as well as my container.
