It something that will happen many times in your skydiving career. Watch the experienced jumpers in their approach to land (ie. not getting too far downwind, avoiding approach over obstacles, etc..) Depending on the situation of the DZ setup many people will sit down when the winds get high. I recently was in Yuma with the golden knights and we stopped jumping with 18mph winds b/c the turbulance that is caused by the mountains. The average jump numbers on the load.. 7000+, 8500, 7000, 8000, 4000, 3700..... pretty experienced jumpers. Be patient, it's not all that bad to stay down and jump tomorrow. No actually Shinseki wore a ranger tab on his uniform but he was never part of ranger regiment (as far as I know). There's a big difference in a person who completes ranger school and a ranger. I think most people's problem is that the Army wants everyone to feel "special." Just giving them a beret doesnt' make them special. It was a sign that you achieved more than just basic training. You'll see the difference when you get to your unit and put on a maroon beret. Being able to have worn the black beret when it was the ranger regiment's and the green with sf, I know I had to earn it rather than it being handed to me. I have a Springfield "fully loaded" and it is an awesome pistol approx $825.
