holy mother of god sneakinup2 is demonic! Cute little thing, though there is something inherently wrong about cats. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

in addition to the links I would write up an eloquent/brief statement urging all jumpers to seek canopy control coaching seminars/classes before trying anything remotely high performance on their canopies. For that matter just make it a blank statement urging every skydiver to take a canopy control course. The articles are great but in my limited experience nothing beats coaching. This mentality should be reflected in your gesture, I think. Blue Skies --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

rock climbing and mountain biking, second to hiking (which is second to skydiving) theyre my two favorite sports. But you can't really talk about gear as much with hiking as you can with rock climbing! (although we can talk about how fast you can boil a pint of water on this or that stove in a titanium this or that, I'd love to!).

damn you guys are some flashy motherfuckers. What about solid colors? Are you thinking about resale value as well, a red/black/yellow striped canopy probably wont have as big a resale value. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

twenty years old, that seems young at my DZ where I would say the average age is more like upper twenties/lower 30s. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

that 250' freestander on ebay sold for about 5 grand I believe. It had a half acre of property too iirc. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

first load of the day: a little antsy on the ride up. After that the rest of the day I dont notice any extreme fear, just a little nervousness that I hope never goes away. ps I've found doing a hop/pop from 3k or so for first load of the day is a good way to break yourself into a hard day of jumping. Hop/Pops are excellent fun too!
In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Man, picking an expensive hobby when you're 18 is a pain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No lie! I started about 14 months ago when I was 17, I'm now 18, only have 49 jumps and just got my A license. I won't be able to afford my own gear for another 6 months minimum, and I'll be financing the majority of it, most likely.
Yeah but think how many other 18 year olds are skydivers. Not many. You're lucky you got into it so early, but the time your 20 you'll have hundreds of jumps and still have the jump on age of the average skydiver! --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

how would you practice this on a canopy that doesnt eat up much altitude in a front riser dive? I want to start practicing 90 degree front riser approaches in 100-150 jumps, but my sabre 120 just doesnt seem to eat up enough altitude. Im afraid of doing a low 90 and even maintaing withdouble fronts and cutting someone off on their normal final.. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

it seems to have loaded profiles that are not quite up to date. Loaded mine with less jumps and a bit different profile (one I had about 2 weeks ago). Just a note you might want to check your profile to make sure its up to date. Blue skies. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

nice john, I was treated when I visited raeford the other day to get some risers and make a few dives by having my logbook signed off by D-167 and D-123. Really cool stuff, did D-26 get video with the jump??? Blue Skies --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

nice man post video if you get a chance! Sounds way cool though. That sort of thing used to happen to me while freeclimbing 200 feet up off the ground. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

I had to do a rear riser landing when I had 22 jumps and my toggle knotted around itself. I'm glad I had practiced before that! --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

what kinda server bandwidth are you working with? Could of been my end but the page was loading slowish (I am on cable). Why dont you add a review section for the products you list? Why don't you add the factory trim charts to the canopies sections (I know PD just recently released them and I think with some searching the other manufacturer's are easy to obtain). I didn't check all the canopies but I checked both the sabre and sabre2 spec sheets and minor flaw the 97 sq ft specs were at the end of the sheet when they should of been at the top right above where the sheet started listing at 107. some minor things I noticed by just giving a cursory glance. I think you have the chance to provide some good information (even if it may be a little redundant, trim charts, specs, etc, but thats in my opinion GOOD). Nice design though, pretty user friendly. Good job. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

definitely, i think that applies to anything in skydiving. One thing at a time is the safest! Thanks!

learn 90 first then rears? Wouldn't it be a lot easier to work on rears BEFORE you start doing 90 degree riser turns? Learn them while youre doing double fronts and are at a lower speed so it will be easier to apply to the higher speeds of 90 degree dives? (This is NOT rhetorical, an honest question, sorry if its phrased weird ). --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

thankyou for writing this loving post and perhaps returning an even keeled sense of thinking to this forum. You seem to be a very strong but beautiful person. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...

is it ok to tell what the jumper's argument was to persuade the court into such a good deal for him? (I know having a good lawyer helps a lot in these cases, but what did this guy work off of?). That's a good story though! ps 750 is pretty cheap for a good lawyer! --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm...
