Well had another weekend of lotsa headdown work (if you sonsider 8 jumps a lot)...understanding a bit more what a slight bend in one leg can do to ya (me no likey seeing the horizon upside down spinning like crazy ) but I also tried a new "exercise" that is good stuff......closing my legs, clicking feet and opening back up again - It allows me to really feel (and understand) what my legs are doing. Seems my problem is one lazy leg (almost a bit daffy) and catching a bit of air on my back. Got a GREAT tip from Dave Brown on the air on back thing - I'm working on it and as far as the leg...well, I'm working on it also. I have to admit, I got a bit bummed once or twice this weekend....just want something so bad and can't quite get it.....but I now have just 50 jumps trying headdown and don't want to get discouraged. It's a learning thing right.....and I love flying so until I feel it completely, I'm going to jump and learn and have fun! And ya know what.....I'm pretty happy with how much I've done so far (as if I haven't said that a few hundred times) - just gotta be patient, right? But if anyone wants to toss any more suggestions my way - I'm here to listen. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Yeah and FYI...this weekend in Sebastian was SLAMMING. The most people I've seen in a VERY LONG TIME and it was SUPER DUPER but also first time in a long time I've had to "swoosh" in to the packing area and pray loads weren't backed up more than a load or two. AWESOME - the crowds are returning! Bring your bribes for the packers and manifest and maybe, have your packing technique down to an art so you can manifest accordinly... We are going to have yet ANOTHER SLAMMING weekend in Sebastian for sure!!! See ya'll there Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

I'm gonna restate Lisa's directions. If you get to the DZ and no one is there. Get back to Roseland Road and turn right. Go straight at traffic light. At stop sign (river will be in front of you so don't go straight) make another right. Follow that road at 25 MPH (cops suck in Sebastian) until you see Capt. Hirams on left. Best chance for parking is right across the street on the right (looks like you are parking in the hotel parking but they all share). I am assuming they will be at the Sand Bar which is off to the right as you head towards Hiram's. Walk across a little wooden bridge and into the "sand" - literally. Hope that helps....it's very easy. Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

Man oh man...if the beach jumps were going to be THIS weekend we would be in for some excitement.....10 - 15mph Northeast wind, right off the water. YIKES! Think I might opt for a "calmer" time for a first beach jump. But man do I want to make one! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

I had the same super duper type experience. Was just at Nationals over the weekend and went to meet Sue, and ask about adding some "give" to the body areas (that I thought I wanted fitted) but forgot winter is around the corner and will want to wear a LITTLE something underneath. Oh yippy ya-who my friend and congrats on the sit! You sound almost as excited as I did the first time I really got it and just wait until you get that first dock......I mean MAKE your first dock. Holy crap....ya know.....my boyfriend has talked about base jumping for months now and I've never really had an interest but DAMN those pictures got me "itching"...............or at least have peaked my curiousity. I don't know why I didn't post something earlier but I know the word is out but here is a REMINDER.... Sebastian is having their Halloween Boogie THIS WEEKEND, 10/24 - 26 despite Nationals going on. You can go to the website (www.skydiveseb.com) for specifics but the DZ is decorated REALLY COOL, there will be a costume party Saturday night and prizes and I THINK free food....THINK?! So why don't ya come play with us....so what it's a week before Halloween - just think of it as an extra weekend you can dress up. Come on admit it.....you know you like to dress up. Have ya called Firefly? Although they are GREAT (from what I hear) there is a 12 week wait and no rush orders accepted. Depends on how much of a rush you are in. 50% a reputauble company works for me................until you want another one. Good luck - we want pictures when you get it. It's only $20 to take the test and get the license and you know especially in our little neck of the woods, winds can sometimes be an issue and a B will get you up more than an A It's all a matter of preference I think. I was a big dork and got each one along the way just because I wanted to and I never knew when I would get to the next one......(yeah right).......... Everyone has there opinion, do what feels right to you. At the end of my first year (1/26/04) I am making a scrap book. Have gathered tons of stuff from all the places I've been and all I've done.
