    OOOO...I'm hoping to hit 300 while out there. It's a high goal meaning 6 jumps per weekend,e very weekend until then and I am losing my roommate so extra cash won't be as readily available but I might shoot for it anyway. Anyone know what date is considered your "sky birthday"? I did my first tandem on 1/26 but made my frist AFF jump on 2/14. Then I graduated AFF on 3/1 and made my first non student type jump. HELP! What is my 1 year cutoff date? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    Hey you.....the suggestion I got when I started, and I am for the most part about the same size as you, was to try shorts and baggy top. If you remember seeing me "back in the day", I wore my little capri pants (more comfy with rig then shorts) and a long sleeve shirt and it worked great - seriously. I tried baggy bottoms at first and it didn't feel right, not until I understood what I should be feeling and where. This was the winning combo for me and I got my sit down pat..... Don't be in a rush to buy something until you get the technique down and understand how your body flies - THEN pay the cash. You see my new suit, it doesn't have drag all over cause I know I fall a bit slow already. But then again, I am also learning more and more each time I jump and am getting stronger in my legs for speed adjustments. Good stuff...be patient! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    HOLY SHIT with that "remedy" mentioned above.........although someone else shared a similar concoction I won't do anything silly cause I don't want to NOT BE JUMPING any longer then I have to be...did that make sense?     Thanks everyone......It's not an ear ache, just an annoying little cold that gives me a head-ee-ache! I know all about the pressure thing so no worries there - my 3rd tandem I had an ear infection that was just about better but I still had pressure......yet went anyway. Not again...thank goodness it was an awesome sunset to distract me. Just always seems if I am sick or in a pissy mood, simple thoughts of being in the sky make things a teeny bit better Hugs to all....hope the cootie bug doesn't find you!     Congrats mama.................pretty awesome feeling doing something like this, ALL BY YOURSELF, huh? It may be scary but all things have a way of working out in the end.....GOOD JOB!     Seems the "cooties" are being spread around the DZ the last few weeks and finally found me ...DAMN IT to all hell. Nyquil just makes me have crazy dreams, Tylenol Cold is worthless, and if I take another Excedrin Migraine I think I might turn into one....Been trying handfuls of vitamins a couple times a day but not sure they are doing anything other than making my tummy upset. I have this sinking feeling that one little jump from about 13,500 might cure all these aches and pains. Anyone else ever had a jump "cure what ales ya"? Can somebody come play with me this weekend ...PAAAAALEEEEEEEZE! Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    OK...I did the "snivel test" this weekend and have to say....................I was wrong . The actual snivel is not 1,000 feet for my Sabre2 but closer to 700. By the time I am in the saddle, check to make sure the canopy is good over my head, get the slider down and THEN look at my alti again is what takes about 1,000 feet. So I was wrong but it was fun to pay that close of attention to what was going on..... Still - my openings are nice and soft with my Sabre2 and I just love the canopy! What was this thread about again? Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

    Congrats you! Wish I would have seen that first - since I was privy to at least 3 or 4 of the "other kind of landings" Everyone has been SUPER to me as I've progressed and I've gathered lots of info (see my log book for proof - it's more of a journal) so if a little tidbit I shared gave you some light at the end of that jump - YOU ARE QUITE WELCOME! See you soon with one of those standup landings...next mission - GET YOUR OWN GEAR to avoid those damn rental costs! Play the lottery...a dollar and a dream!     Of course you will silly.......Keep your eye out for me! I made 9 jumps this weekend, all headdown attempts and 2 of them I got lucky enough to have Dave Brown along for the ride....It is simply amazing just how much a REAL coach can provide. I am grateful for all the help I have received and for all the jumps my boyfriend has so patiently made with me but I can't help but wonder if a coach for a handful of jumps would get me "headdown". Oh to just have a LITTLE BIT more money........... Oh well, I took good notes in the log book for reference again next week I'm not a quitter, that is for sure, even if I have to take the slow path to completion. I'll get there.........one day

    It is a Freak-N-Suit made out of Lake Wales, FL and I just love it....not to mention Sue was a doll with helping me pick colors, etc.....cost and turn around ROCKED! Very happy with my choice and after having jumped it for 2 weeks now - mucho happy with it....... Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
