Thats what a "repack" is. Inspection and repack. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

And common sense. The problem is it is not that common. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Some people just seem to fit so well in the "gaps".

Dave, AS8015b 4.3.3 Compressed Pack and Environmental Tests: Three drops shall be made to the lowest applicable direct drop speed in 4.3.6 except that prior to the test the parachute assembly shall be subjected to the following preconditioning: (These tests may be combined with other tests.) 4.3.3.1 Precondition for 16 h at not less than +200 °F (93.3 °C), stabilize to ambient and test drop. 4.3.3.2 Precondition for 16 h at not greater than -40 °F (-40 °C), stabilize to ambient and test drop. At 200 degrees you start to get discoloration of the webbing from where it comes in contact with the hardware. A good friend of mine has jumped for over 40 years and his gear is always in his trunk. He will jump gear until I cut the lines off and he has never had a problem. This attachment is the Mil-Spec. on stow bands. It mentions that they must be oven tested.

The more jumps I do and the more time I've had in this sport, the more I know that you are 100% right! The problem is I am only 100% right about 25% of the time. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

The max weight listed on the TSO placard is 80% of what the gear was tested to. The manufactures maximum weight has more to do with they believe the average jumper’s body will take on a less then wonderful landing. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Cypres specifies that you use only their pull cords, Cypres user’s guide page 36. If an AAD is used in a rig it must be maintained according to manufactures instructions. Jmo Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I've got SCR-7494, SCS-4073, NSCR-1531, SCSA-329 and NSCSA-105. The only one that is not in the database is my SCS. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Your dog can not be held up as the norm. The average skydiver has very little control over their dogs or their kids. I am old school. A drop zone is an adult’s playground. If I wanted to be entertained by people’s dogs I would go to a dog show. If I wanted to watch kids do all the funny shit kids do I would go to a day care center. Drop zones are for skydiving and skydivers. Kids and dogs do not belong at DZ’s anymore than they belong in a bar shooting pool. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

One very simple thing that needs to be answered is what type of A/C will you be using. Some work better than others and some would probably not work at all. A C-182 carrying 4 jumpers and an air mattress would be one I would like to watch from a chase plane. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Dave, There are no experts in this sport, all the experts are dead. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Thanks for your efforts Roger. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Andy, Thanks for the information. I should have know it could not be that simple. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but Courts do not prosecute “Contempt of Court”. You are declared guilty by the fall of a Judges gavel and said Judge will determine your what your sentence will be. And that sentence is not up for appeal. No more calls, we have a winner. A trick as old as rigging. Never heard it called a "guppy" cord but that will do. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Yes, it goes against manufactures instructions for both the rig and the AAD. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

There is no such thing as a “minor” malfunction. If you believe there is your belief just might get you killed. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

should it be required to jump without an AAD?
mjosparky replied to shermanator's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This attitude has been the biggest killer of jumper over the last 10 or so years. With or without an AAD. Jmo. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals -
Not! Never let others dictate your safety limits. Sit down some quite night at home and write out your limits when it comes to safety in various situations. Then have the stones to stick to them. It’s your life. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

Yea, what Lori said. Mr. MichaelMoore, aka Scott Jaco, when you can afford to buy your own DC-9, hang new engines, jump through the hoops to get it cert. to fly jumpers you will able to charge anything you want. Until then quit whining. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
