    Hang you canopy by the tail in a place protected from the sun. When the lines, particularly at the cascades, and the risers are dry the rest of the canopy should be dry.     Since we're in the editing/correcting mode... Given the amount of time it takes the rigger to pack up a reserve or assemble a rig I'd have to say it's not done for the money. On a per hourly basis it's pretty bad so just a good heartfelt thanks goes a long way. Other than that a cold brewski or even a jump ticket... -Michael If I charged a similar rate for a repack that I did for testing, $55 per hour + $200 a jump, most jumpers would think it was crazy.     I have a very low tolerance for people who lie and cheat, people who are too fucking lazy to do the job right. Aviation rules much like skydiving rules are often written blood. This is not the 60’s or even the 70’s. It is way past the time where the skydiving community start taking responsibility for how jumpers and DZO’s alike conduct themselves. As for loosing respect for me, would you respect me more if I stole you car or maybe bounced a check on you? You don’t get to pick and choose which laws you obey and which one you don’t. You may feel it is all right to drive drunk because you can handle it. But if you get caught you will go to jail because it is illegal, dangerous and just plain wrong.     To answer your question. I want someone who is honest and has some degree of integrity. I have never met or even heard of a private pilot with 10,000 hours and having thousands of skydives does not make a good pilot. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.     Where do you draw the line on how illegal a DZO operates before you feel taken advantage of? As I posted before, if the DZO/pilot can’t be bothered meeting the requirements but still conducts his business as if he has that means he is lying to his customers and stealing their money by charging for his services.     A “last hope rope” or as you say a “Jesus rope” does not pull the ripcord. It is hooked to the top or side flap of the container. You pull on it if you have a container lock after pulling the ripcord. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals
