    Unless you jump a round reserve, there is way less risk of a entanglement. Which imho is the only time a canopy transfer should be attempted. If your main is flying well enough to do a transfer with a square reserve you do not need to transfer.     Don’t pro pack the MT1-X canopy. The manual says to flat pack it. The PD-340 is a 9 cell and will probably have a larger pack volume than the 370. See attachments. Sparky My idea of a fair fight is clubbing baby seals

    Amen Jim. You are taking about a time when you had to want to be a skydiver. The gear was heavy and fit like shit. The instructors where mean, yelled at you and made you do PLF’s until you couldn’t focus your eyes. The planes were tiny, smelled and climbed slow as shit.     If you want to deploy your main throw your main PC. If you want to deploy your reserve pull your reserve ripcord. NEVER, and I mean NEVER wait for anyone or anything to deploy for you.     Almost all fatalities are the result of human error and thus preventable. It will take people pulling their head out of their ass and realizing they are not nearly as good as they think. If you read the fatality reports for the last 6 months you will find they are just a repeat of the reports from 6 years ago. There is a small segment of the skydiving community that refuse to learn form the mistakes of others and the past.     There is not much you can do to change the openings of a Raven III with the exception of leaving the slider off.
