Thanks, bytch! You've been there for alot of the laughs (remember the dz.com 'broken records'? ). I remember trying to pack my 'new' PD-170 there in front of Square One when I was a newbie at Perris. Well, I guess I'm not a 'tourist' anymore, Kate! 10 years ago, today, I gave up a hot air balloon ride (too expensive) and took to the air by tandem instead. It was supposed to be for only one 'ride'. I got down from that jump and was hooked! That was 10 years ago. 2500 jumps later, here we are. Wiser? Better? Older, at least... I have to say thank-you to all the friends I've made along the way. Friends from near and friends from far away. World Events and National Competitions. JFTC, USPA, FAA, FAI, IPC...A,B,C,D,AFFI,PRO....Rookie,A,AA,AAA....Intermediate,Advanced,Open... Cameraflyer... What a journey! What started with a little Cessna-182 in little 'ol Palm Springs has taken over a simple life and given so much back. It's been a great 10 years. So much change and so much more to look forward to! World Poker Tournament-Lose = Get thrown from a plane!

Rumor has it that it will take place aboard an airplane, with players that are eliminated having to skydive from the plane after losing their chips. I have mixed feelings about this. Personal experience here...When I, myself, was introduced to skydiving I did a tandem. I did not get video. Looking back on it I kinda wish I had...ya know, the first jump wonderment and something you'll never experience as a 'first' again... However, on the other hand, I'm glad that I didn't. Some cameraflyers fly SO close that if I had gotten one of them I wouldn't have enjoyed the view and experience as intensely. (and yes, I -did- see the scenery in freefall.) Palm Springs with it's beautiful surrounding mountains in front of you and numerous golf courses dotting the ground under you! I would have missed all that if someone had been blocking my view. So yeah, it's nice to get a video/stills of your first jump, but don't fly so close (all the time) that your customer gets gypped out of the whole experience.

iMovie does this by itself if you set it as a 'preference', then it's a snap transfering it to DVD. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Memorex -R works great on my Mac. I had hiccups with my stand-alone, though. Fuji -R seems to be okay so far. The link that I posted before (thanks for taking the time to read it, Phree) is a good starting reference.

*** Weird....I was in Italy last Sunday...they did it there, then. I have a friend from Brazil. She told me that since that country is south of the equator they 'fall back' when we 'spring forward'. Their seasons are opposite ours here in the north.
