For those of you who want a personal trainer to go to the gym (or home) with you!

No skydiving helmet does. If you want any sort of compression help get a foam filled Pro-tec. It might not be the most fashionable, but it's the best decelerator when you hit your head on an immovable object. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I used to shop at Walmart years ago...that is until I experienced, first hand, how they treat their employees. On more than one occasion. First they announce a 'staff meeting' on aisle whatever. Then they all gather together in the center of the store to hear whatever the manager has to say. What was very loudly heard by all who passed by was the manager berating an employee! In full view of all other employees and patrons alike. How tacky! I spoke to a supervisor, who happened to be one my patients this past year. She said this is company policy! To condemn an employee in front of others in the plan that this would mend their conduct. Now, I believe in communication in the work place. However, I DO NOT condone beratement of anyone.....and especially in public. And this is only one of the many reasons I won't shop at this demeaning place. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

We're not talking about DVD cameras here in this thread. We don't use them in freefall (yet) anyway. They don't stand up to the altitude and movement that skydiving entails. Besides, why start with compressed medium when you can have a miniDV tape that is close to full quality anyway. What we -are- discussing is DVD players....that also record. Ya know, they're shaped like a VCR but spin those little discs around instead. Like this one. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Dang! That's a new one. The three 315's I bought (and returned) at least had sound. I haven't looked into the 515, but stand by my former statement that the Sony GX300 is fantastic.

Yep. Going on 18 years now. Eye kicked out by a horse. Optical reduced ring site is the only way I'll fly. Don't want -anything- blocking my vision. Works well, and hey...we don't have to close one eye to site! ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

It's a vicious circle. If the illegals get citizenship, they will demand equal pay as other citizens. The business owners won't like it but what do they do about it?..... They wait for the -new- wave of illegals to make it across the border and there they go again. Give it a few years and -those- illegals will demand amnesty....the cycle lives on. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Just a word of caution about using a balloon over the tongue switch. There are known cases of people becoming very allergic to latex from frequent contact with a 'regular' (latex) balloon. At the hospital where I work we had to go completely latex free with everything. They make latex free balloons. You might want to invest in these and protect yourself. FYI for those who care. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

If you play your creation back on the same recorder, it will play successfully. However, I believe we were talking about success on other players as well. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

I kept trying to advance from Level 4 but kept either bouncing or running out of the green/red scale. What is that...heart? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

16 years old. Factory worker unstacking cuts of 2x4's, lining them up on an automatic sander/feeder, then stacking them back on a pallet in a pre-determined order. First day on the job I was amazed at the amount of black dust in my nose and ears...and I think I lost 1/2 my hearing. The other 1/2 of my hearing I'm losing on this skydiving thing. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Jan, From the .jpg attachment you provided. If you go to the link that Google provided you see this: http://www.skydiveperris.com/pagenotfound.html?404;http://www.skydiveperris.com/home.asp It then gives you the correct web page to go to. They've linked to it. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

This is why I went DVD-R as well. Haven't had any DVD's returned to me. However, jtval....Clint was asking for a format that he -doesn't- have to Finalize. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

Yeah, that's one thing I miss from this new site. Perhaps they're working with the hardware/software to make them much better than before. Ya know...they had alot of problems with the old webcams after Jack left. As for the navigation of the site. After quickly learning the new ropes, it's really an easy find. However, I -do- feel for those who are still on dial-up. Perhaps with the feedback that I'm sure they will be getting, they'll develop a simpler .html alternative. Don't want to leave anybody out (or force them to upgrade for their viewing pleasure. ) All in all, I like this new site. Perhaps it's my Mac. Maybe it's my DSL. Or because I don't mind change. (really really hated that orange color the old web site had all over it anyway. ) Whatever your gripe (or pat on the back) is, there is a link on the site that welcomes comments. For those of you loathing downloading the new Flash (or those who walk with dial-up) who can't view the page, here is the e-mail that invites comments: webdev@skydiveperris.com ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

600 jumps in 24 hours by one man.
ltdiver replied to skydiverek's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The FAA has no requirement to exit or open by a given altitude. The 2000 foot pack opening is a USPA BSR only. Yes, but isn't it FAI that certifies the record? No, FAI does not have a "most in 24 hr." category. It is in the Guinness Book Of World Records. So....what was Judy doing there at all hours of the night...until 8 the next morning? ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon -

makes more sense when they don't own their gear until 50-100 jumps. I often had different gear with each jump, and didn't want to get bit by some weird quirk in one of them. Even now, my own container's manual contradicts itself on main flap closing order. And sometimes that rental includes packing, like it or not, and definitely for the last one. Score again for learning at a small DZ. We learned how to pack our own student (main) canopies while still on student status. By the time I got my own gear it was easy.

I believe he is looking for top mount capability. The Azimuth from 2KComposites is fully top mount capable, and a little less expensive. MmmmK. However, since he was lumping it in with a Mindwarp and a Gath I took it to mean a more 'freefly' 2K as well. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
