    Yes, it definitely sounds like you got a bad box of tapes. It can happen. I got a bad box just the week before Nationals and came up with Blue Screen on a couple of pre-competition jumps. I was sweating big-time (luckily my second camera was working fine). I ditched that box of tapes (after head cleaning and all, like you) and the next box worked fantastic. Nat's came away clean, but I was still nervous as hell thinking that I'd get bit again. And as you remember, the weather was quite warm there in Perris that year.     Okay...I had to work today and kept thinking of what would be a fun dinner combination once I got home. What was in my 'fridge.... What popped into my mind was an unusual combo. I had one last Klondike bar in the freezer and one more glass of wine (Shiraz) in the bottle on my counter. Hmmmm....why not?

    I have no memory from after my accident until the next morning when my mom walked into my hospital room. Trauma can do this to a person. IMO, Emotional Trauma can lead to suppressed memories, Physical Trauma can lead to a period of memory loss (amnesia is you will) that will last forever. It's not suppressed...it's just gone. I've given up trying to remember what filled those missing hours and accept what others have told me happened then to fill the gap.     Yeah I know, I do fault the business, not necessarily the person. Plus, this could all be solved by having a better work visa system so that all the people who do pick grapes, janitors at Walmart, etc. can come here and do the jobs that they do so our economy doesn't collapse. First, let me say that I do -not- support illegal immigration and blanch at those who leave the word 'illegal' off their support just to confuse the issue (ACLU). We have to be prepared, however, if the illegals are allowed to stay, legally...through amnesty or work visa means, that they will be demanding (and eligible) for higher wages. Just like American citizens, they will be protected by the Fair Labor Act and will be afforded a more equitable income. Cheap labor? Perhaps not so cheap anymore.
