  1. hehehe tell us how you discovered her soft lips? MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. nahh got busted speeding back to manhattan. it was over $100 can't remember exactly how much. luckily, i don't think it will appear on my insurance, as I've heard that the insurance companies only check your record in a few states nearby. since I'm insured in north carolina, im hoping they won't find it. 3. wow 2 repost police caught that in the same minute. something I just realized... in a few years, everything that could possibly be posted will have been posted before. ivan will go nuts trying to stop em all. MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. don't speed through wamego. I got busted there... 60 in a 40 zone my ass MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. she should have gotten out of the car and wrote her name in the concrete too! MB 3528, RB 1182
  6. I have yet to convince someone to do a tandem. I've convinced four people to take a s/l jump though. maybe my friends are just all wussies. MB 3528, RB 1182
  7. you can get a used rig with an AAD for less than 2,500. I got a used jav, really used triathalon, pd reserve, and a 2 yr old cypres for 2,000. mind you, parts of it are pink I would say look at how much money you have for jumps, and figure out if $500 for unlimited jumps over 6-10 months like you said, if thats a better deal than $20 or whatever per jump for rental. 8. In what way do AFF-Is baby their students? I think what phree is trying to say is that s/l instructors will never pull for you. nor will they try to fly into you and grab you if you start spinning or something. hell, when I did s/l, they never even used hand signals... if you started to go low, they would just keep watching you... and then tell you after the jump is over that you pulled too low. 9. I know what you are talking about... I've tried front risering on a manta, and its just really... sad. has anybody tried to front riser a triathalon? I've tried it (im loading it at ~1.3) and it barely makes it go faster. not to mention, the risers don't move from their orginal spot.... when I finally do a pullup on them, the risers come down, but so does the nose... it folds in on itself... kinda freaky. any thoughts? 10. lol now that u mention it... they do look kinda similar. but seriously, skydivinee1, how U doing? MB 3528, RB 1182

  12. I think you're dead on with this one tunaplanet. Hell, I don't like being close to wild snakes, but doesn't mean I have Ophidiophobia. It just means I don't wanna be bit by a snake. I do have a touch of claustrophobia though. I did find this one, which I'm glad most skydivers don't have this: Fear of Closing Pins- Enetophobia MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. hahhahah the benifits of a random name... nobody can use mine in a sentance! also, I believe this is post #700. edit: waaahhhoooo im now an addict! MB 3528, RB 1182
  14. search the forums... there have been many discussions over this... but bottom line, aff you get more altititude and fun on your first few jumps, but you are gonna have to pay for it big time. both ways will teach you safely to skydive, and you get your A at the same time. as a college student, I learned static line... only way I could afford it, and I still had plenty of fun. 15. nice video. I assume that the explosions on the mountain were U.S. trying to arty the enemy morter right? MB 3528, RB 1182
  16. beer hard liquer actually theres not much I wouldn't eat when I was a kid. oh and I do like asparagus too... except for the smell afterwords MB 3528, RB 1182
  17. I don't believe it... post a picture! anyways congrats on the gear, wanna trade that new hard-as-hell-to-pack triathalon for a nice used one? mines even got the old non-slippery zp... MB 3528, RB 1182
  18. no no, skymama... just cut off the burnt part... turn it into a really low cut shirt, and wear it to the DZ. problem solved! MB 3528, RB 1182
  19. one of my friends did just that. one of my other friends gets his car stuck on a curb in a parking lot (long story), so he gets some friends to help em push it off. so my not very nice friend offers to ride in the car to steer and brake it if necessary. well, the pushers weren't working very well, so he guns the engine in reverse, comes skidding off the curb and hits some ladys car. the funniest part is that he turns off the car, gets out, and takes off running into our car and shouts "GO!". and then later he never helps pay for anything for the damage. needless to say, those two weren't real good friends from then on. 21. for some reason I found that really funny. I can't wait to show this to my friends who like rap lol. MB 3528, RB 1182
  22. geez thats a lot of organization you got going there. I've never heard of training progression lists, but I'm sure there are some out there. I know some people just do them informally in their head. All I can say is in freeflying, most people start by getting their sit down, then a stand/spike, then head down. for rw, you will need to know decent control and tracking... both can save your life. side sliding and leg turns are useful... but I don't think I've ever seen anyone using the mantis position... but then again, I'm still a relative novice (150 jumps) so take it all with a grain of salt. MB 3528, RB 1182
  23. oh sure the wingsuit guys could use it... they just have to do a constant hard turn and they could fly around in a little circle for a while. MB 3528, RB 1182
  24. ahhh thank you for posting this... I got an email with these and the links went dead... so I deleted it. but now they are back, and saved onto my computer... wahoo. MB 3528, RB 1182
  25. so was that "strange grass" that you couldn't see a waste water treatment pond? if it was, be glad you didn't turn right MB 3528, RB 1182
