I have switched nothing. An MD takes 6-7 years and you will rack up 90k plus in expenses. A TM takes 3 years and 500 jumps. Not even close to the same amount of time, effort, or cost. Edit to correct amount of money based on good info. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

If I had a dime for every time I here some one say that about the war...Well I'd be in another tax bracket so you could tax me more "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

So you want it all, or nothing. You are not willing to work otherwise. Still nothing wrong with that, but admit it... "I do not want to work due to the reasons I have stated". My company is nationwide...They have offices in Daytona. Go fish. Easy you are unwilling to work. How hard is it to admit you don't want to work since it will effect your school? Like I said, nothingw rong with it, but you balmming everyone and everything else for a choice you made is silly. Force meaning killing people. I think we are fighting a war. We never declared it but people are still dying. Its a war. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

And they did vote for it. No matter how much you say it was not....It was. If they were against it, they should have said something then. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
Nope thats not it....I just don't care. If I buy a house I will duduct that, but the money I give to the RedCross, American Diabeties Association, and the March of Dimes I don't claim. Its not that much more I'd save, so I don't care. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And they should not have voted for it if they did not want it. How hard is that to understand? Simple they didn't want to do what they now claim they wanted to becasue it would destroy their chances of being re-elected. Now that it is in some circles cool to claim the war is bad, NOW they say otherwise. They should have spoken up when they had the vote...But the spineless twits didn't. THEY GAVE HIM THE TOOL. End of story. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

Amen. Do something for yourself. I'll gladly help those that try. I am not into supporting those to lazy to work for anything. I don't understand how people can be fat and not care, or smoke. Hell it was drilled into me that smoking will kill you. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

They voted to authorize force. The time for them to challenge it was then, not after they voted for it. But to do that would have been political suicide. So they voted for it. Now that its cool to be against it, they ignore they voted for it and speak out. Sad. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
Again BS. I know of several jobs that allow people to go to school all day if they like. I have around 20 people in my building that are working and making a decent wage AND going to school full time. I am working FT and going to school FT. my EX wife did the same, my last 3 GF's did the same. One went to nursing school and had two small kids. If you choose not to work. Then you are not willing to work. BS like I said how can all the people in my building do it and not you? Simple they want to, and you don't Yes, it is. So they chose to work...Great for them. You choose not to. Fine, but don't blame it on someone or something else. You are not willing to work. You call it another name, but it really boils down to you don't want to work....Fine. I was willing to send you some #'s of places that hire at a good wage, have many benefits and work hours that would not effect your schooling. But it is clear to me you don't want to work. How about being a night janitor? How about working for a freight company? There are plenty of jobs...You CHOOSE not to work them. Thats fine, but accept you are unwilling to work them and quit blaming everyone else. BTW my Dad worked FT at a factory at night going to school. Due to that he made me pay my own way through school. There are thousands of stories of people who did it...Because they choose to. You are not willing to do it. I'm done with this. You call it what you like. I will now point out two good things that Bush did....

Agreed, but the only way you have to record that now is your opinion. And no matter how one might like to think almost everyone carries an agenda. That can lead to abuse. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
I bet I claim less deductions than you do. The only deduction I ever claim is my 401k. I don't claim my charitable contributions....Do you? I make enough money, I don't mind paying taxes. I do mind paying taxes so lazy people can sit around watching TV. I do mind paying taxes to try and have the Government run healthcare. You want to make our medical system socialist and remove the desire to strive for big paychecks for the best and the brightest. Even if you don't support it, it is still the way it works. Dr's pay to make the big money. It's called INVESTING. Soldiers get paid peanuts to fight for us...Its called SERVICE. First you said that you could not find a job...To which I said BS. Then you said that you would rather not work instead focusing on school. That is not willing to work. AND a change of positon. Which is why I wrote If not, then it does not apply to you. But I know several people that manage to find time and money to skydive, but claim that can't find a good job. Me not living in Volusia County has nothing to do with it. You claimed you could not find a job that would pay you enough to live AND allow you to go to school. And that is clearly not true. After you were called on it you claimed that school is the top priority...Noble, but it goes right in line with you are not willing to work. I work Full time 35-45 hours a week and go to school full time. I also work at the DZ doing Tandems when I feel like it. My EX wife (Who lived in Volusia County) worked two PT jobs (Relative Workshop, The DZ, and later at SkyVenture) and went to school full time. My last GF worked Full time and went to nursing school...Oh and she had two little girls to take care of (6 and 9). My GF before that worked PT and was working on her Masters in Education. My current GF works 40-50 hours a week and is working on her MBA. I am surrounded by folks that work good paying jobs and go to school. You choose NOT to work. Thats fine, but to claim it is anything other than a choice is silly. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

"Ghouls Rush In" : Tsunami Tourists Sunbathe On Beach
Ron replied to Michele's topic in Speakers Corner
People did. I would not, but I am not everyone. Almost? Thats not did. 200? That is nothing. Just tickets to that area are around 1,000 bucks. Imagine if you had saved up for YEARS to go somewhere you really wanted to go. Finally you got the time off and the money at the same time and bought your tickets. Then all hell broke loose. You would lose your money (really cheap trip for two would be around 5 grand). Disney World was closed for one day, and that was during the Hurricane. Plus there is the fact that tourists will bring money to spend. That area needs help, but it also needs to build its industry back. Would *I* go? No. But I am not going to blame someone without more info. Now if they went to see the damage? They planned the trip AFTER the disaster? They would be low lifes IMO. Your take on the sanitary reasons is good. But some don't care. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -

No, they do not pay to get trained for 6-7 years before they get a paycheck. But paying them a lot would be cool with me...I was one and could have used the cash. In fact if you want to get rid of welfare and give that money to the service men...even better. Maybe some of the capable will get of their asses and do something. They have to be willing to work to make their lives better. Servicemen and women are busting their asses for us. Like I said, excuses. You don't want to do the work. Which is back to my last post "But you have to be willing to actually work". You clearly are not willing to work. Do you manage to find the time to skydive? If so, you place jumping over work. I have plenty of folks that work with me. Many of them are going to school full time. Many more have worked for me till they graduated. They then moved on. There are plenty of jobs that will allow you to work and go to school. But you CHOOSE not to work. You before said that there are no jobs And I was more than willing to give you phone numbers of exactly that type of work. And now you change your story. Like I said, you have to be willing to work. I have not read it yet, but if it is saying that swoopers need to stand up after a swoop, I agree. I have been saying for years that a swooper that rips up the pond but falls flat on his face has just lost all cool points IMO.
