Arguing with someone on the net or in real life is NOT a reason to act fucked up. PK and I argue more than anyone else on here. I still respect him. I view this along the lines of someone keying a car. Low and chickenshit. It is shame that people take a grudge to an extreme. PK: Sorry dude, if you need anything let me know. I was told...And you might know this that there are ratios of how many type (Race/color...ect) that are allowed to be screened. Seems like the dumbest idea I have ever heard. I have no doubt you are better at dealing with the guy that is holding the gun/bomb. Most of my work has been keeping the airport secure from weapons, not training on shooting back. If people have to shoot back I failed...Well except my 3 years active duty time. But I never went down range. I thought about becoming an Marshal when I got out. But my old company created a perfect job for me. How do you like it? I have been told by some that there are some really stupid rules (Business dress that makes you stick out) and that the routes can suck. Well we don't want some jackass like Reid trying new tricks now do we? I know you are now doing this for a living. But I have been involved with airport security for 13 years. Now I don't carry a gun, but I do work with security. Might bring it down is all you need. And you don't need that much brain power to make an RPG take out a million dollar helicopter. All they needed was some metal and an idea. They have aircraft engineers working for them, but not bomb experts? And I agree, and have said as much. I also agree that the best weapon we have is to not be PC and profile the damn passengers. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

It also is not that hard. I am not going to go into the ways, but I am sitting on an international airport as I type this. I work around/on DC-10's, Airbus 310/300's and 727's on a daily basis. I am qualified on weight and balance on DC-10/MD-11's, Airbus, 727, 747, and various other aircraft. I am also a licensed pilot. I have been working for this company and at airports since 1991. With a short stint in the Army. The SPEED of the plane is a large factor in breaking apart an aircraft. A damaged fwd loader door took the roof off of the passenger jet over Hawaii. It was the speed that caused the door to flip up and peal the top off of the aircraft like a can opener making the Aircraft a convertable, not the pressure difference. TWA flight 800 was not high enough for the pressure difference to matter. A small spark in the main gas tank caused the plane to blow apart like a fire cracker. Commercial jets fly at .6-.8 mach. Thats fast enough. The internal pressure of an aircraft will reach 4 grand after the plane is at close to cruise. Also remember RPG's were also not supposed to be able to down our Helicopters either. In 93 I was to busy skydiving to pay attention to politics. If they were try to pass it now I would think it is a bad idea. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
I would not go after a person already on a team. However if I was on a team that is not meeting it's commitments...Such as we planned on jumping 2 weekends a mth, and thats what we agreed on. Then the plan changes to one weekend a mth. It kind of makes the "deal" void if BOTH sides don't keep the commitment. Or if the deal was one weekend a mth, then the three wnat to jump every day. Again the original "deal" is all what the commit ment was for. A team is a commitment of ALL the members. Did you read my post? I clearly said it was a bad idea. Are you getting old, or just surprized? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334 -
A bomb with an alti trigger set to go off at 4 grand would be very effective. More efective would be 600 feet at the end of a runway at full power over, full fuel over a city. I think its silly to look at the watches a person is wearing since most of these type of bombs are in cargo, not carried. Im going to school for shits, grins, and giggles. The military is paying for it, so I am going. And I still don't see why I should support you while you don't work and go to school. Yes, you have...You complained about not being able to get unemployment. And then you complained about not having health coverage. And then said: So if you don't want to work, and want health coverage, and unemployment....Who would pay for it? Answer guys like me with jobs. QuoteOh c'mon. Ron is telling everyone about his good works in what appears to be a pretty blatant attempt to discredit the notion that he's arrogant, self-obsessed and narrow-minded, and then as he goes on immediately after to disclaim it, it loses all credibility. All of Ron's posts, that I've read, show the aforementioned notion to be completely accurate*** Some people say the same about people who make personal attacks. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1155892#1155892 And I only pointed out what things I do when someone made a baseless accusation. Do the moderators play favorites in deciding who to ban?
Ron replied to mardigrasbob's topic in Speakers Corner
Maybe, but that would still go to show bias in the Moderation. I can only speak from experience with only one Mod, but they are human and might carry a grudge just like anyone else. Only in one case.(You) Many times I have seen people say the exact same thing I have been banned for without any warnings. I have also been openly attacked on these forums and nothing has happend to the attacker. This might be due to bias, not seeing it, or not seeing it as an attack. I have since stopped replying to attacks, or just pointing out the attack and send a PM to the mods (more than one mod). They have for the most part been fair and I have managed to stay out of trouble by just ignoring attacks at me. I feel stupid asking for help instead of defending myself, but I have been told to just that. If you ask me do I think ther is a bias? My answer is yes. They are human. With that, I have been warned to not question the mods ever or risk being banned, so with this I am dropping this subject. Do the moderators play favorites in deciding who to ban?
Ron replied to mardigrasbob's topic in Speakers Corner
If it was from more than one mod I would agree. If only one Mod bans a person and those two have opposite views, bias is a possible cause. Most time I did deserve it...But that does not mean there is not a bias when others doing the same thing did not get banned. Do the moderators play favorites in deciding who to ban?
Ron replied to mardigrasbob's topic in Speakers Corner
Yes, they do play favorites IMO. I have a PM from a Liberal Mod that says he is holding me to a different standard than everyone else. He also said that he will not reply to PM's from me. I have been banned a bunch so I understand that makes me get looked at closely. However, when you discover that all but one of my bannings was from one mod and that mod only, and that he and I have opposed views on almost every issue. It is clear that there is at times a bias.
