And if time shows you were flat out wrong and just making up things????? Take off your partisan glasses and look around. You are not as correct as you think you are. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

You are aware that most guns will not fire unless the trigger is pulled? You are then aware that most people with training know better than to handle even an empty weapon with their finger on the trigger. Your paranoia about a guy carrying a loaded weapon onto a live firing line, yet support of a guy carrying a weapon at all times is funny. If you don't think a person is smart enough to handle a live weapon....Don't ever let them handle that weapon. Attitudes like yours are why we avoid public ranges. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

So you support the idea of a guy carrying a weapon loaded almost anywhere (CHL)....But are afraid of a guy carrying a loaded weapon from his car to a firing line????? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Is the best you can do some not really hidden personal attack? Because if that is really the best you can do...I will not be playing that game and will just ignore your attacks and fact less comments. Actually according to you Bush is going to declare martial law and not allow the elections. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2631649#2631649 javascript: postShortcut(2628327) "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

How about actually running organizations from an elected position? And lets not forget that Palin is running for VP, Obama is running for the top spot. That is a great question. I think that it all should be considered. However, when presented with an education, or actually results from work experience, I lean more on actual proven ability, not theoretical ability. Please don’t think I don’t think Obama is an accomplished person. I just do not understand how: 1. He can claim that experience should not matter, and then nominate a guy that has been in Washington longer than his opponent. 2. His supporters want to claim that McCain’s VP pick is not experienced enough, but in reality if she is less experienced than Obama, it is not by much. So if you want to claim that Palin is not experienced enough…then that would also mean that Obama is not experienced enough. If the tickets were Palin/McCain vs. Obama/Biden…The experience argument would not have merit IMO. But we have a very experienced Senator running for office vs. a much less experienced Senator…. Yet some people want to make an issue of the VP’s experience level and make it an issue? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Amazon... And yet STILL more experience than your guy. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And what has he done in each? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Amazon You are right, some people are getting desperate. Her experience is still more than the man you want as President. That says something about people priorities to me. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And what govt organizations has Obama run? 1992-1996: City Council. 1996-2002: Mayor. While there she reduced her *own* salary. 2003-2004: Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. She quit in 2004 over the ethics of some REPUBLICANS. She tried to get them to quit, they would not so she did. After she left she went after REPUBLICANS Randy Ruedrich (the party chair) and Gregg Renkes. 2006-? Governor of Alaska. 1992-1996 = 4 years 1996-2002 = 6 years 2006-2008 = 2 years That's 12 years of elected office, 8 years as the head of a Government body. John, the ranges I shoot at are on private land. You are correct with public ranges. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

I bet the founders never thought the internet would exist either. But the 1st still is applicable. Why would technology only apply to SOME amendments and not others? Just like for some people some amendments are fine to ignore them. Gun bans in cities for example. But could you ever imagine a City banning free speech? Strange how we honor somethings but ignore others. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And what percentage of GSP has Obama been in charge of? "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Actually I am...But you didn't bother to answer the question I asked. Given that less than a year ago Biden said that Obama was not ready to be President...What has changed in that year that now he is qualified? If we were comparing VP's only...You would be correct to say that Biden is much more experienced. I would agree and in fact like Biden. But we are comparing the people running for President FIRST. And who has more experience between those two? If it was Biden/Obama Vs Palin/McCain your argument would make sense. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Well, I don't carry a gun anyway. I just asked to see how I could transport the gun to the range. I put it in the trunk normally. I just wondered if I had to have it unloaded, or the mag out..ect. He is a cop, and others have told me the same thing. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

And what has he done in the last year that has given him more exp? Enough that his own VP now thinks he can lead on day one? Yeah, good thing that Palin is only running for VP, huh? I find it very funny that you bash McCains VP choice for not having enough exp, yet ignore McCain has much more than Obama...Ya know, the people running for the top job. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

OK, which VP candidate said that their Presidential candidate was “not ready to lead”? STEPHANOPOULOS: You were asked, “Is he ready?” You said, “I think he can be ready, but right now I don’t believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the- job-training.” BIDEN: I think that — I stand by the statement. Sorry, lets not forget this: Biden: I would be honored to run with or against John McCain because I think the country would be better off. None of it *running* a Govt. McCain has tons more than Obama. Both are running for President. Your argument would be correct if you compared VP's. I commend you on trying to redefine what I wrote. You are incorrect however. As will the claims of Obama's people saying that exp does not matter for President, but it does matter for VP. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

Not really. One camp you have an experienced person who selected a lesser experienced running mate for VP. The other camp you have the primary candidate as the lesser experienced person who claims that McCain is to much inside the beltway...Yet picks a VP that has been there longer. For those that want to claim Palin does not have enough experience to be VP....How can you justify Obama as President? Palin has run (well IMO, if short) a government. Obama has not. McCain says Obama does not have enough experience to be President, he never made the claim that Obama was not experienced enough to be VICE-President. Sudden? You have never paid attention to a single election then. It has always been an issue, in EVERY election but maybe the one for Washington. You clearly didn't pay attention to him before the election in 2000 then either. He was Gov of Texas and was re-elected with a record 69% of the vote. He was also the first Gov of Texas to win re-election. So he ran a large State for 6 years. http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1998/11/03/election/governors/texas/ "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

It varies by State and local municipalities. For example it is legal to have a hangun in your car in TX even without a CHL. At least that is what I was told by a cop last week when I asked him. He said it was a part of the 'Castle Law' that was just passed. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334

McCain/Feingold...Like others have said good idea, bad result IMO. I don't like how he wants to stay in Iraq. They want us out, we should split. He is not talking enough about how he is going to cut spending....A very much needed move. He has mentioned it....Now say where and how. What I find funny is how you and others keep trying to paint McCain as Bush III. I don't think you are in anyway a bad guy...Heck John I like you personally. But, your political leanings are so far out of align with mine that it is clear we are never going to agree on politics. It is such a shame that almost every exchange with you on here with anyone ends up with a pissing match. I don't think you could list the reasons you dislike McCain without resorting to emotional and unsubstantiated issues. Please do the research and then present your findings. I think you will find that young hotshots have more accidents than experienced people. Sorry, but your prior response seemed to have said otherwise: "but the amount of dissatisfaction I have for this current admin completely repels me from anyone bearing the slightest resemblance" If that was not your intent, sorry. You have proof that is McCain? I can pull up lots of missteps from BO as well....Like 57 States, 10,000 people dying in a storm.... Neither does lack of experience. John, you can continue this if you would like. But you tried to claim that Buffet gets preferential treatment when in fact he is charged at the EXACT SAME RATE as everyone else on the SAME SOURCE. Your attempts to make that simple fact into something else have failed. You failed to mention rate (maybe you intended to, but you did not) until called on it. Again, the facts and the data prove your current track to be false. You may continue this if you like, but the facts are clear...You never mentioned rate till you were called on it. All subjective. Besides how many guys with 1,000's of jumps get killed each year vs guys with a few hundred? But which one would you want to do a Tandem with your family? The guy with LOTS of experience and jumps, or the guy that just got an A License? See the really big difference is that the jumpers in your example are not likely to kill me or you, only themselves. From your own admittance you are against JM for being the same party as GWB. You seem to forget that JM and GWB don't exactly get along. I really wish the Anti GWB crowd could recognize that GWB is not running and that JM and GWB are not the same person. Again, who do you want your family's to jump with: The old experienced Tandem master. The young hotshot that just passed AFF.
