OK... so who's going to the Saturday night dinner? I'm not and am contemplating what else to do for food as a decent meal is essential before a night of drunken-ness. I know the hotel are laying on a curry buffet, but will it be any good? Is there anywhere decent to get food locally? Anyone have any good ideas? Vicki

I'm thinking that Dan BC's "Tunnel training" seminar will definitely be worth a look. I'll probably go to Rick Boardman's "How to Stay Safe" seminar as well and possibly Brit Chicks too.

Yeah, good point. For all you timers... please be warned that the bar at the hotel is VERY expensive! I wouldn't want to suggest doing anything silly like bringing your own booze or anything like that, but feel you should be warned that the prices are steep!!! Vicki

As Tash said, I think most of the usual suspects already know one another but it would be nice to put names to faces for anyone I don't already know! AFAIK - no. The dinner itself is black tie and anyone who's been at that will probably still be dressed up. Feel free to dress up a little if you can be arsed, but don't worry too much - no-one will remember what you were wearing anyway! Vicki

I don't think it was the full strength beer that was the problem... I think my problem was starting with a bottle of wine, moving onto full strength beer and knocking them back together with interesting coloured vodka shooters. Either way lesson learnt! I feel fine now after a good nights sleep - thanks all for the tips!
