  1. Thanks Maverick...thanks Billy. Theres nothing more that I wish for ,Lisa ,than being at LP and buying you that beer. Its just not in the cards. 5. Boy that sounds familiar, have we jumped with one another? You ever get down to Z-Hills in the 70's or Hinkley? Where did you get your NCSR (city)? If my memory is correct I earned it at Cal City a long time ago. Yeah ive been to Zhills and Hinckley bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
  6. The SCR's are entered from 1 to 8000 - gap - and 14300 to current at 14780. The SCS's are entered from 1 to 2001 - gap - and 7900 to current at 8243. You are in the gaps for both SCR and SCS. Not sure about the NSCR, what is your real name? Well duh ! bozo aka Jim Bozarth bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

  8. I'm so sorry you lost your buddy , Jim. I lost my buddy Junior New Years day. He was waiting for me on the washroom floor , when I came in from the garage after visiting my mom. I walked in he raised his head and blinked...then he just died. I know exactly how you feel , he wasnt a dog.....he was family. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
  9. Damn.....i just got three phonecalls wishing my wife well. I aint ded. Well Todak....at least we know what the text was about. Surely you know skydivers well enough by now to know that they weren't wishing her well....they were movin' in on the ded dude's woman. Saw their chance and seized the opportunity. Yeah I know. It started with Todak calling to see if I was allright , then a couple old buddies from Vegas. Todaks got a hot babe...the other two youre probably right about.
  10. NO SHIT! Somebody needs to bitch slap AggieDave for that one. Slap, Slap. Damn.....i just got three phonecalls wishing my wife well. I aint ded. Well Todak....at least we know what the text was about. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

  12. [They recommend keeping the hands on the toggles rather than protecting armpits as mentioned before. Does the recommended tree landing technique differ depending on the canopy used? g. Timber landings 1. If a tree landing is unavoidable, hands must be kept on toggles. Landing with brakes on should be accomplished by rotating hands and elbows into the body while still holding toggles. Keep hands and elbows in to prevent grabbing for limbs or injuring elbow. This is just another version of the same training. Still protecting under your arms. The training I cited was used and may still be for non steerable rounds. bozo Pain is fleeting. 13. Its a moot point. He didnt have a reserve. Humans can drop 20 ft without injury, if done right. I don't think any "risk due to tree" theory holds water? Maybe people have some experience landing in trees. If you land in a 40-50 ft tree with a deployed 28' round, what's the typical distance to ground for your feet? I would think you're not going to catch up near the top. So a 20 ft (or less) drop should be doable. Basically, I don't see the risk that's being raised here? The risk might not necessarily be falling that twenty feet. Tree landing requires a specialized training. You are taught , once commited to the tree, to cross your arms across the body with the hands in the opposite armpits protecting the arteries there and the jugulars in the neck the legs. The knees need to be kept tightly closed to prevent damage to the femoral artery in the crotch area. A lot of ....yes a lot...of jumpers have landed in trees and bled to death before anyone could get to them. So you see the greatest danger in a tree landing isnt a fall.......its the branches that can and will shred a human body. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
  14. Of course, if he wasn't a skydiver he also may not have known how to use his reserve to get down and may have panicked before figuring out. Its a moot point. He didnt have a reserve. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

Just think of the reception you'd get. Is he going to put one of these things to support/fuse the vertebrae?(see pic) Nope. I already had those. 14 inches long. They took'em out years ago. They are going to kill the nerves to stop the pain. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.

Yeah...it seems injuries stay with you forever. I broke my ankle on my first jump....the pic I have of it is identical to the one in Twardos thread. Anyway, 27 years later I still feel the pain from that ankle at times. bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
