Boy Howdy. Tom's "gang" was so unique, each one of them, that someone should write a book about them. If it was a bit on the light hearted side, which I believe it should be, Jimmy Buffett would write it. I worked as a TM for for Rozzo for five years. So just imagin the fun we had in the middle of night after quite a few tequilla shots creating a nice surprise for this asshole to wake up to! But if you hadn't done 1400 more jumps, would it have happenned? Or if you hadn't had the injury, would 1400 jumps have lead to some of this? People get arthritis and back issues even willing a dull life. Who knows. I certainly wouldnt have traded the last twelve years for anything. Dont misunderstand me ...I'm not bitching. Maybe as a community, it would benefit us to hear from some of these survivors with respect to their "recover"... what they went through shortly after their injury (surgery ?) and lasting effects (if any) as the years went by. Thoughts? Well....I fractured two vertebrae and crushed one, in June of 96......I "recovered" and made 1400+ more jumps which 400 of were tandems. As of November of last year , 07 I am out of the sport due to neurological problems causing me problems with my arms. Unlike ZigZag....I live on pain meds just to get thru the day. Who made you Emperor of the Internet? BTW, Keating IS a convicted felon, and Ayers is NOT. Ayers is a "Distinguished Professor" at the university ranked #8 in the entire nation. Demo team jumps into wrong stadium

Back in the late 80s the demo team I was jumping with was hired to jump the grand opening ceremonies of a local Boy Scout jamboree. It was in a minor league baseball stadium. Anyway....we were circling , the ground crew guy said go.......we landed in a completely deserted stadium and to top it off the sprinklers came on as we were landing. There had been some disagreement with the Scouts and stadium management and they cancelled the event....forgetting to tell us. Our ground crew guy said "quit yer bitching , ya got a free jump didnt ya? " Well yeah. hahaha bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars. -

As far as I remember, he and Bill eventually moved up north and ran a bar/restaurant owned by their parents. Tuna Last I heard of ole Eugene was that he was whacking his willy in a shopping center parking lot....a couple women walked by , saw him, and called the cops. I don't have enough years left to tell you everything that was wrong at his dz. I 'think' the actual event was with a student who cutaway too low and was killed. And then there was the 80+ yr old guy who was put out on a skydiving rig that Ted had hooked up the static line so that the main could not open. It was a dz that was great for those of us who wanted 'no rules' skydiving, but not a place for students. This is a card my wife gave me for my bday yesterday.... Two old guys are walking down a forrest path when they see a frog sitting on the trail. The frog looks up and says to the men..."I'm really a beautiful princess , kiss me and I will turn in to her and do anything sexually to you that you could imagine as payment" The one old guy picks up the frog and puts it in his pocket. The other old guy says "arent you gonna kiss her and get all those sexual favors??????" The other old guy says....."naaaaaaaaa I think its cool to just have a talking frog". bozo Pain is fleeting. Thanks everybody. After reading another thread today about former skydivers being allowed to post , i'm wondering if I should even be here. Of course the poster has like 300 jumps and knows everything.
