  1. Well ya, we only catch the dumb ones.......... This one falls in the extremely dumb catagory, "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

    Fuck Iran

An emotional response to a complicated issue from a "progressive"? Say it ain't so..................... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  3. That's like saying "I have a black friend, so I know what it's like being black" My theory is over-simplified but sound. Some of your other posts, as well as the tone of this one tell me if you are in that 60% I'd put you near one end. A good cop can make a mistake, or even do something right and have it condemned by the media and the term "bad apple" floats around. It's the classic damned if you do/don't. The "Thin Blue Line" you reference exists, but not nearly to the extent you or the media think it does. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  4. I tried to stay out of this, but like the sirens of the sea SC called to me to comment............. There is no reasoning with some people (see above post) so I won't respond directly to that rant. I may have posted this before but I'll give it another shot; I police by the 20, 20, 60 rule. 20% of the population pretty much hate the cops, you could shit them a golden egg and they would still bitch and complain, about what an officer did or(didn't do). 20% of the population pretty will back the cops no matter (within reason) what they do. (That 20% is my personal favorite) 60% of the population keeps an open mind and will make an informed decision on the actions of an officer. Most juries are made up of those 60% types, when I take an enforcement action I do so knowing I may have to convince that 60% that my actions were warranted and justified. I wasn't there for the situaion posted, and I will not comment solely based on media accounts, those officers better be able to convince a jury that there actions arresting a paramedic were justified. That will be a tall order so we'll see. The vast majority of cops are hard working, caring, service oriented people trying to do good. The dickheads are just that, just like in any other professions. Good cops also make mistakes and have bad days, the only difference is that a mistake made by an officer can have far worse consequences than mistakes made by the general public. A recent local example: http://news.cincinnati.com/article/AB/20100902/NEWS01/9020323/No-felony-charges-for-officer-in-park-death If you are curious about how cops operate, do a ride along and if you can keep an open mind you'll see. Or better yet, enroll in a local "citizens police academy". If one is not willing to do that with an open mind then you will never have any earthly idea what modern American law enforcement does. So STFU and color..... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  5. That was a well thought out, common sense reply. NO GET OUT OF SC!!!!!!! There will be none of that in here. Didn't you get the memo? We are a bunch of "ists" or "ic's" if we disagree with our progressive friends, the facts don't matter. Geez...................what a dummy! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  6. ........yawn............ I could find something that would equally slam the dems, but I won't waste my time. While the fringes of both sides throw stones, the common sense middle is going to take this country back. It's easy to bitch, but it's much harder to find solutions. See ya in November. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  7. Great Job! We had them say they were showing up to a KIA funeral in June, they did'nt and they hardly ever do. I've only been to one mission when they did, even then I never saw them because there were already so many PGR around them, I went on to salute the familiy at the service. Unfortunatley I may have another KIA funeral within the next week, they never get any easier, but what the PGR does is worth every minute of my time. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  8. I'm a ride Captain with the PGR, my take on this whole thing is this; If it wasn't for those WBC fools there would be no Patriot Guard (180,000 strong), as bad as the WBC is, the good the PGR has done for veterans and their families has FAR out-weighed that. I've seen the what the PGR means to families, with no protestors present. I've been to numerous funerals of KIA's in the current wars, to veterans of every military service as well as first responders. The PGR shows all veterans, first responders, and their families the respect they deserve. We stand proud, tall and silent to honor them. All thanks to the WBC, I guess it's just karma "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  9. Alright man, Ya got me, I can no longer deal with your superior intellect and ability not to use emotion when engaging in a debate. So. I've wasted enough time (at least with you) for the day. Peace out! Nah, just to Gaza where they would have been held hostage............geez.......... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  10. ***the ones who were attacked were the ship's crew and passengers certainly not his conscience. *** Using your logic in a tactical sense then the IDF should have just lit the whole floatilla up, they certainly had the means to do so. They initially were showing restraint by fast roping onto a hostile vessel armed mainly with less-lethal weapons. The "activists" turned the situation into a deadly force encounter. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  11. When these "peace activists" decided to start using deadly force against uniformed members of a blockcading navy, they were no longer peace activists, they were combatants. They were treated as such by their own actions, none of the other boats had a problem....... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  12. looks like the israelis wanted to make an example by murdering as many turks as they could... If you engage in close quarter battle with highly trained naval commandos, who have to resort to (mainly) handguns to defend themselves, those are the wounds you are going to get. I'm not trying to be funny or sarcastic, that is just reality. That is by far, one of the most unrealistic things I've EVER heard in speakers corner. Again, if you attack highly trained commandos, they are not going to surrender they are going to take control by any means available, regardless of what country they are from. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  13. A grocery store gift card, along with a retirement greeting card, inside the card write the following phrase: "Eat 'till you're sleepy, sleep 'till you're hungry" If he has a sense of humor he may like that. Tell him you got it from a cop, they love that.... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  14. Does this mean I have to take out the 9" kilbasa I keep in the front pocket of my tight jeans? This PC shit is outta control!!! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  15. http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Article.aspx?id=177169 Not exactly what "peace activists"normally carry. I guess the IDF was expecting some drums, lots of real artsy signs, and smelly hippies-hencethe less lethal pepperball guns, I said it earlier, that is the LAST time the IDF does that while boarding "activists" boats. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  16. Yea, What he said! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  17. Ketusha rockets no, there were a small amount of small arms, and a couple RPG tubes from the reports I saw. There were also night-vision goggles, gas masks, and numerous improvised weapons to combat the boarding parties. Additionally the backgrounds of some of the "activists" were tied to Hamas and other terror supporting organizations. 5 other boats were boarded peacefully, as far as the IDF goes, it was a media victory for the "activists". Another thing about the media victory is the obvious leaning the media has against Israel. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  18. My eyes are open, the comparison was just plain silly and not relivant or relative to the situation at hand. Absolutely nothing, that statement doesn't make any sense either. I'm well versed at the use/application of force, that's what my original post was about, again facts don't matter, emotion does right? "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  19. Obviously you don't know about the thousands of rockets fired from Gaza into Israel. The blockcade has virtually stopped the flow of arms into Gaza from the sea. The IDF stated they would let humantarion supplies pass after an inspection for weapons. These were evidently the ones that were boarded where the "activists" didn't try to kill IDF personnel. Non-point. Simple, support Israel in it's efforts to protect itself from Hamas attacks coming from Gaza. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  20. Apples meet oranges, a great ATTEMPT at moral relativism. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  21. And I'm sure launching rockets from Gaza into Israel is an act of war, using your logic Israel should invade and occupy until it stops. They did that and were condemned for it. Israel was attempting to use restraint when boarding these vessels, some of the "activists" threw that out the window (or over the deck in at least one case). "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  22. There are many levels used to apply force, I won't bore you with the facts (they would'nt matter to you anyway). The IDF attempted to board these boats and it is clear that many of the soldiers were carrying less lethal weapons. The "activists" actions led to them coming to the lethal part of force very quickly. Google "less lethal weapons" and "use of force continuum" and that will give you the full explaination. If ya have any questions let me know. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  23. I bet that is the last time Israel tries the less lethal option when dealing with "peace activists". It's a shame that this floatilla had less than peaceful intentions. Those who are yelling the word pirate, that is morale relativism that the left loves to use. It's big on slogans, small on facts. The IDF could have wasted all these folks from the beginning, they chose the PC route and they get burned from the media which started PC in the first place. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  24. I've jumped that airplane several hundred times, nice to see it in the air again. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

    Rand Paul

It is pretty simple, that speaks to the current POTUS. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
