Yep, He played them like a fiddle. I'm not a big listener but I did hear him predict this. Sooo predictable, our media friends......... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Hmmm........ I hear crickets........... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

If this thing is remotely close, (within 5-10 points) no matter who wins. It will signal HUGE problems for the Democratic party and the presidents polices in the 2010 election. This race should have been a shoe-in for democrats, the fact that it is even somewhat close shows many are swinging against the current direction of the Democratic party and the president. IMHO "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

I washed ours with soap, I didn't know either. We soaked it and the first few pizza's tasted a bit soapy but it's fine now. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Let's try to keep this civil......(yea right)........ I think he is in way over his head. People wanted change and we got it, I don't think it's the type of change we need. His lack of experience shows, take away the adoration and his decision making skills are questionable at best. If the Repubs can find a decent challenger, Obama is a one termer. We'll see. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

No worries, He can mock or laugh as much as he likes, we'll all be speaking alot more "tea-bag" after Nov 2010. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

A deck gun for the such and such Maru would go a long way......... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Weather like that is more like watching the Packers in Wisconsin! Then too, you get a lot of that cold coming off of Erie. Don't forget your toque! *** Dude, That's Cleveland, I am soooooo offended!!!! The wind will blow off the Ohio River, it's not frozen. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Cincinnati Ohio, 9 degrees, with a high of 21. It will be fun watching the Bengals and Jets play in 18 degree weather. It's not supposed to be windy but we'll see. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

It will never happen - the super rich power brokers and their lobbyists and accountants have too much to lose. *** Holy Crap! we actually agree on something! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Bannings are NOT created equal... not that you would trust me to tell you this... I wish they were but they are not. And that comes directly from the POWERS that be *** I mean really, did you ever think that if you didn't say such hateful things (at times), maybe you'd get a little more latitude. It must be a vast conspiracy................ "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

The best phrase I ever heard from a rich guy was: "The first generation employs" "The second generation enjoys" "The third generation destroys" The guy I was talking to was about my age (40's) and a multi-millionaire. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

You do seem to get away with the same things you warn others for Bill. I guess that is what having power does to people huh??? Quote Nah, I'd say it's more of a zealot feeling powerless. Could also be an example of kicking your feet, crying and yelling "it's not fair!!! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Sorry man, I have a cat that is 13 and he is my bud, his health is declining so I'm dreading the day. Sounds like yours was very special. Blue skies "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Grease 'em both up and throw them in the ring Quote Ok, that's not a personal attack, that's just gross!!!! EWWWWWWW............just imagine the visual. Be banned now!! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

What petty bickering? My dad can beat up your dad.......... Rush Limbaugh can beat up Keith Olberman.......... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Some limits need to be pushed due to the nature of the conflict, it's a > fine line. I don't think anyone really knows where the line actually is. I don't need a lecture of TV vs real life, torture as a rule produces faulty intel. Pushing limits in relation to time sensitive intel has been effective. If you keep AQ detainees guessing on exactly what limits are going to be pushed, that can be effective. Telegraphing your punches (not literally) is not effective. And yes, I know where my "line" is and I've never crossed it. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

While you guys are doing all that fancy lawyerin' I'm much more >concerned about an ENEMY that is intent on destroying our way of life. And while "you guys" seem to just want to hurt people like that, I'd rather stop them more permanently. Getting good intelligence from them and then proving their guilt is the best way to make that happen. I do understand law, however I also understand the nature of conflict. There will be plenty of time to argue and point fingers after all this is over, but that will be a long long time......... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Dude, That's creepy, I don't like you in THAT way........ "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

I urge you to read the dissenting opinions in HAMDI V. RUMSFELD (03-6696) 542 U.S. 507 (2004), a 5 to 4 decision. Quote 5-4 A W is a W right? No former presidential pun intended........ "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Shoe Bomber/Underwear Bomber & criminal trial.
skycop replied to SpeedRacer's topic in Speakers Corner
That is a good question, maybe some back room dealing for intel or such motivated it, who knows but I'd like to find out. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!" -
The Bush Administration, even beyond its terms in office, still has the right wingers bamboozled into thinking that there is a 3rd legal category called "enemy combatant" for which there are neither (a) constitutional protections due a criminal defendant, nor (b) protections of the Geneva Convention due a prisoner of war. THERE IS NO SUCH THIRD CATEGORY - it is an UNLAWFUL figment of the Bush Administrations' collective minds, and will go down in history as as much a shameful blot in American jurisprudential history as the Dred Scott decision or the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII.Quote Thank you for that legal opinion, that's exactly what it is OPINION. While you guys are doing all that fancy lawyerin' I'm much more concerned about an ENEMY that is intent on destroying our way of life. They don't give a rat's ass about what legal opinion is in vouge, they are too busy plotting and planning another attack. The very fact that we try to put some type of rules on a conflict that by definition has none, should somewhat fill the legal requirements of LOAC. Nothing is perfect, but affording enemy combatants American style legal rights is laughable. George Bush is a crafty bastard, he still has his magic powers bamboozling folks a year after he left office. He must be alot smarter than people give him credit for. Maybe, just maybe, some legal minds better than yours realized some limits need to be pushed. Leave the fighting to those who know how to fight, as unpleasant as it may be. Our future depends on it. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Oh, I thought it was your commentary on that fascist Krauthammer.*** What a surprise, calling someone who disagrees with you a name. Nice point for such an edumacated guy! "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

So you think we should "pamper" Timothy McVeigh, who actually did kill 168 people? Read my post, I said exploit intelligence BEFORE any potential execution. I think we should use the same system for both.*** No way, military tribunals for a non citizen who attempts to attack America. The same happened to three (I think) German spies in WWII, there is no difference. This is a war and the gloves come off. Good - because it did work. No one was injured other than the bomber. That's the best possible outcome once there is a bomber on an airplane*** You're kidding right, the only reason the "system" worked is because the device did not function as designed. You are a smart guy, and you call that logic? The guy never should have made it on the plane. A cash ticket, no checked baggage, and no jacket for a trip from Amsterdam to Detriot in the winter. The system is ineffective. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
