I couldn't agree more, like I said in my original post he won't play well to Kentucky voters who are mainly center/moderate democrats. I like the candor but, I don't think it bodes well in a national election race. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

If this is any indication Mr. Paul will lose in November, he is too out there for Kentucky voters (who are overwhelmingly Democrats, but normally vote Republican in national races). By electing him in the primary over the right/center Trey Grayson Republicans gave up a seat they have held for years. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

The Civil Rights Game is being played in Cincy this weekend. Baseball can be somewhat political however, the civil rights game is about righting a wrong of the negro leagues. Current immigration debates are not the negro leagues, there are NUMEROUS players that are legal immigrants, visa holders etc. These individuals followed the rules to come here and play ball, maybe we could learn something from that alone. I argue with him all the time in SC, I'd NEVER argue physics with him...... I was hoping for a college student or some hip freeflyer.......I'm not hip (as far as the kids are concerned) to have something on tap. I can use 10 year old stuff, but looking for better. I tried, but I'd rather it come from someone in the skydiving community, the ones I saw were adequate but I was hoping for a high speed one to dazzle these kids. I'm not current and my stuff is dated, so anything to help out an old man..... I'm bringing in a rig and will do a deployment sequence demo as well. I'm a guess instructor, the teachers try to make interesting topics when making up snow-days "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

Anyone have a power point presentation I could share with some high school students on terminal velocity. I'm not trying to be lazy but why reinvent the wheel and I SUCK at power point. I did one several years ago for my kids when they were in the 8th grade, but I'm looking for something a little fresh that high school kids would get into. I've got new skydiving and BASE video to show, but I'd like to explain freeflying/sitflying vs. belly flying. I'll give credit where credit is due, PM me for my e-mail addy. Thanks! I haven't read the entire thread drift here, but my two cents. The days of "sleeping it off" in your car is a thing of the past, due to the wonderful world of civil liability. If the officer lets a person stay in control of a vehicle, even if they are "sleeping it off" and that person leaves and gets into an accident, guess who is liable? We've taken keys from guys "sleeping it off", when they didn't get them back when they wanted to, a formal complaint was generated. The dumbasses would say "if I was impaired, then why wasn't I arrested". When in fact they begged for a break when they were impaired, the officer took the keys, got busy, and could'nt return them when the dumbass wanted them back. Again, why I dislike MOST lawyers........... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"

The other thing in my career I am most proud of, I NEVER wrote a speeding ticket. I never ran one beam of radar (officially) either, except when it was slow on nights (which it hardly ever was). I used to take the radar gun out on the highway and point it at cars to see who had a radar detector. I avoided being radar certified as if it was a bad disease. This "recovery" is goverment spending pretending to be growth. When helicopter Ben stops printing money and the POTUS stops spending money, we'll see what kind of recovery this is. The weight of debt is going to be a huge drag on the economy, the current administration just doesn't understand it. The market will continue to be jittery and job growth will be slow as long as we keep spending money we don't have. The next round of "stimulus" is going to be bailing out states before they go under, the pyramid scheme is eventually going to fall. Hopefully some grown ups will be in charge soon and we can figure a way out of this mess. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
