Sorry everybody, I guess I didn't delete my post quickly enough...I had pm'd a greenie stating my questioning and I should have left it at that rather than posting. Your name and statements had shocked me alot. I totally understand and feel the same way. And I suggest that in a few days you look in the mirror and tell yourself that you can and will continue to contribute to the strength and wonder of living life the fullest you can, in any circumstance. TROLL! Anybody know this guy? I could understand no identifying info, but this was his first and only post. "deadboy2004", have you posted to dz.com under another name? Or is this your first visit? I know several people with HIV, some best friends died from it, yet I never heard them talk like this: And why give up skydiving unless incapacitated? And why stop being a tandem instructor? Just do a jump with one or more muff brothers and sisters while wearing ear muffs(provided to you), you will learn the sacred chants on the ride to altitude. Happythoughts and brothermuff65 are the best to show the way to muff jump heaven! There are some threads about it... If you have jumped with them and don't have your muff number yet, email Johnny Gates (brothermuff65) he'll send you a card... I can't wait to do a magic carpet ride or two! marc

Salo was definitely some sick shite! I worked in an 'art cinema' as a projectionist and I hated to put that on the screen each showing..... I agree with most everyone's choices, but Salo was the sickest ever (and DO NOT rent it for the curiosity of seeing just how sick it was......you'l be sorry!) Clockwork Orange was definitely a shocker when it came out! But what a flick! American History X had some great acting. I still haven't seen 'The Believer' about antisemitism that is supposed to be good though controversial.. mp -
Lots of great photos, both of the wild animals, and the wild women. Where was New Years? Rio beach? or somewhere else? Great firework photos, and the candles on the beach looked like Yemanja offerings at Copacabana and other Rio beaches..... Were those apartment bldgs near where your family lives, in SP? The Fortaleza # 3 almost shows alysse's sister's apt bldg on Miereles Beach, she's a block or two from the start of the Nightly market. Liked the hugging monkey, poor guy needs loving...and the yellow blue arara macaw in flight was nice...all show a very fun time! Lots of mosquito bites for you guys on that big river boat trip??? Now I am curious! When you bring the soco and peach schnapps to ZHills, I want to try!! what the heck is soco??? We hiked around a local nature preserve (saw a wild feral pig nursing two younguns, no allygaters that we could see though) then I had 2 whisky sours with lunch....got to have that citrus rush! I would drink one of your beers to celebrate your first jump. Buy a case and everyone will know you're the new student and hopefully welcome you with tales of skygod BS and other good advice. Just be sure not to believe everything you hear while under the influence!! Then on First Solo, AFF graduation, A License buy another case each time. (skydiving is NOT an inexpensive sport, and a few cases won't set you back more than a coach jump with video) They will have followed your successful progression with memories of nice buzzes that you contributed, and by then will have many of them ready to take you up for your first attempts at group play.. I just received a letter for jury duty in Sarasota, but it had a check list on the back of it for reasons to get out of it....besides choices like 'I am a convicted felon' and 'I have been adjudicated incompetent', there was a choice for "I do not live in Sarasota County' At least my office will pay full salary for my 'day in court'..I can't use any of the excuses... marc

Its tough when you have kids...but when you are footloose and fancyfree.... After college, I packed my bags and headed to Brasil, lived there 4 years. Then after I returned, I got tired of working 9-5 in the big city, packed my few bags and headed to New Mexico, lived there 4 years. Then back in the big city (kept going back to earn those $$), I packed my suitcase and headed to Japan for a few years. Now I grab my bag and head to the dz and get some altitude (and change of attitude!) marc
