  7. I have to mention that USA Women's Skydiving Team Synchronicity is having a tunnel camp March 13-14 at Skyventure Orlando. Total of 1 hour flying time, video reviews, food snacks drinks included. The price is incredible, very reasonable. Alysse and I will be there!! I train alot with Sally Hathaway, have mentioned it on other tunnel threads. She is very innovative and although I have trained in the tunnel with a few other great coaches, I have really enjoyed and learned the most with Sally. You can get more details at www.teamsynchronicity.com Marc
  8. Anyone ever try San Francisco Steam Ale? Good stuff! Stella Artois is a new Favorite, at Paul's Bar at zhills its only $2!! Bass, RedStripe for imports yuengling is a great american beer "The reason angels can fly is that they take themselves so lightly." --GK Chesterton

  10. When you talk about 'wine' JRAF IS the MAN! I'm only sorry his thread was deleted because in my late night posting I came up with what I thought was a funny line about our favorite troublemaker, so just to PW I will repeat it here: "The reason angels can fly is that they take themselves so lightly." --GK Chesterton
  11. I got some more details about the Team Synchronicity Tunnel Camp March 13+14 at Skyventure Orlando. Team Synchronicity is the current United States Women's 4-way Formation Skydiving team and is currently training to compete in the 2004 World Championships in Croatia. Help support the team and get coached by the best! The price is so incredibly reasonable that I will let them announce it in the Events Forum, but I can say that compared to similar tunnel camps prices, this one, even with airfare to Orlando and hotel you will have cash left over for jump tixs! I plan on doing some coach jumps with them to practice what I learn in the tunnel camp! --marc Details from Sally Hathaway: Team Synchronicity Tunnel Camp Sat 13th and Sun 14th of March. One hour of tunnel flying, all coached, with video debriefs. The first day we are done at 7pm and the next day at 5.30pm. Some people might be done a little earlier depending on how the schedule works out. Besides one on one coaching, we might also do some 2 on 1 or 4 way in the tunnel depending on people's different skill levels on the second day. Lunch will be provided both days, drinks and snacks. $100 deposit from people to hold their slot on the camp. contact jaimie@teamsynchronicity.com
  12. OOPs you are correct. The first year was a freebee. $25/yr after that. However, they always have special discounts if you use the card to make a purchase at Sears. Often have $10 off coupons, and a couple of months ago had a 10% discount on purchases. That's the time to buy a new refrigerator or TV! So those discounts more than make up for the annual $25.... I put all my skydiving expenses on that card, and watch the points mount up as my bank account gets smaller! Cash? What's that? Marc
  13. Both Alysse and I will be going. How sensual can you get, sharing a 125mph wind blast and the constant vibrating and roar of the fans all weekend, with some of the best (and most beautiful) skydivers in the world! All I can say is "Relax and use those knees!" marc PS tomorrow we will be in the tunnel with Sally Hathaway, so I will ask for more details to post here. They have a new design to their team site: www.teamsynchronicity.com Check it out!!
  14. I get tired by the last round in a 15 min slot! An hour a day would be alot.... If you are coming to Orlando in the spring, maybe you'd want to do the Team Synchronicity tunnel camp. March 13-14. That's the USA womens skydiving team coaching all weekend. Contact Jaimie@teamsynchronicity.com
  15. kids screaming on planes? that's why I take along my skyventure earplugs! works great! (except for the banging on the back of my seat....hmmm)
  16. oi frankie, tudo bom? The tunnel will exaggerate every little input and you have the walls to judge that by (both in level control and centering). You are correct, Freefall control seems easier compared to the tunnel. BUT, If you have good control in the tunnel, it will result in even greater control in freefall....that's my experience. Do a couple of rounds practicing a short 2way routine, then do it again in freefall. You will see how much control you learned while working hard at it in the tunnel. Alysse and I will be in the tunnel sunday afternoon from 3-4 with Sally Hathaway (from team synchronicity, and a zhills coach). She might have a slot available from 6-7 that nite. Come by and watch the way she trains us. We have a lot of fun! Unless it rains while we are in there (which the weatherman is predicting) (vamos tomar um cafezinho depois na padaria brasileira no international drive?) Marc
  17. alysse is watching the video now and mentioned that SHE put that sticker on your helmet for ya! "The reason angels can fly is that they take themselves so lightly." --GK Chesterton
  18. You said it, not us! But towerrat DOES call himself a 'crackerican'.... Muff brother Johnny also lives in lakeland....as does boxman and other greats from zhills!
  19. hey that's a zhills bomb squad sticker on that helmet at the 1:30 mark, is that skymama freeflying?
  20. I have a Sears Mastercard, gives points good for lots of stuff (but unfortunately not for jump tixs)....I use my points for barnes and noble gift cards and get all my music cds that way. www.searscard.com they list where you can cash in the bonus points.... Shell Mastercard gives bonuses.....get free gasoline! marc
  21. I live in Sarasota. Although everyone is talking about how nice it is, notice how none of them actually live here Sarasota is nice if you have younger children and doing the family thing, or are retired. Not much of a nite life here(hey that's why I'm always at zhills partying with you guys!) Best for you would be find the job first and move to the place most convenient to that job. Getting employment first in this lousy economy is paramount. Remember, all salaries are a third less (or worse) what you could get up north. Its what we call 'The Price of Living in Paradise' ! Marc
  22. heheheh, I visited your link, and checked out the url http://www.raventhorne.net/ Pretty funny home page, check it out!
  23. your account info says you are in Ireland...coconuts and mangos????
  24. Here in Sunny Sarasota Florida, in our garden a mile from Siesta Key Beach on the Gulf Coast, we have StarFruit (carambola) ready to eat Pomegranates getting larger (the parrot loves those!) Other fruit trees we have (no fruits on them in January): Lychee Longon PassionFruit (maracuja) Guava Pomegranate 3 types of Bananas (source of our famous chocolate covered bananas at zhills!) Pinha (a brasilian version from the atemoya/cherimoya family) oh yeah, and black rasberries and blackberries and some vine with a weird fruit called 'monstera' yuchy though... yeah, life is tough!
