"Sweeties on her way over":8:0 Having a blast with my PC9 and workin on Franks Video,, guess I owe beer for my first splinting at the DZ of an AFF L3 who flared late and broke his tibia,, great attitude and hope he continues,, but had a great weekend here, had a couple go arounds due to clouds and I'm startin ta get tired of gettin out into a friggin snow shower,, that shit hurts and it's June already!!

WTF is it with these guys,, had 2 over the DZ the other day and a "near miss" ...do they have a website I can vent my opinion on and maybe piss some of them off,, I have no problem with folks sharing the sky,, but if youre gonna be up there then ya better know who might drop in an take a wing off,, after our lil incident the pilot had an arrogant attitude like he couldn't check the freq of every lil airport he went over,, oh wait,, I'll do a search an see who does this in our area..

Blue Skies and Jump Safe guy's an gal's,, One thing in the last Parachutist that irritated me was the letter that said that only the ambulance crew could launch a helo,, IMHO that is just plain bullshit and should be worked on,, usually through the local EMS folks medical director,, you don't need ta be a highly, or basically trained EMT to make that call,, anybody in the inland northwest can launch our helo's,, we'd rather get cancelled after EMS folks arrive and know they are capable then delay rapid transport of a critically injured patient,, so good idea to get together with these folks and get it straightened out beforehand,, now I'll be quiet... oh and Ann if ya get hurt on my shift I'm cuttin off all your clothes and doin a full, thorough, detailed, full body inspection,, I mean assessment,, Clay no worries bro,, I won't damage your new suit for a broken finger : )

Dam some of ya are touchy,, These boys fly missions like this often,, they know the risks involved and consider rescues like this as on the job training for there active role in the military,, look at the terain in Afganistan were involved in... I was at a hoist rescue training demo at the military firing range near Yakima WA last month and talked at length with a Blackhawk crew,, they love there job and we work together with them often on shit like this in the Cascades and other terrain we can't get into with our helo's,, I pray for a speedy recovery for all involved.. as far as the climbers,, I climbed Ranier and it's a high risk sport for sure,, scary shit,, but they aren't necessarily idiots,, (people say the same about folks jumpin outta airplanes for fun) the Paramedic who survived and called for help has probably risked his life on occasion without worrying about who's gonna pay for his efforts,, ,, the costs are a problem and many places do bill the victims and you can also get rescue insurance,, but keep in mind most rescues aren't for climbers in the national parks,, there for joe pubic who isn't prepared or trained in any outdoor adventure.. sorry to rant but this hits close, Mom called from AZ to make sure I was ok and nobody I knew was involved

Hay Bill, do ya have a website with more info on this,, Like Aggie I have a truck that gets lousy mileage,, don't know if there even available in the NW but at that price I'd be payin less than my truck payment an gas ( sorry Roger : ) ,, any front wheel drive does fine in the snow/ice with studded snows on just the front,, drove to my job at a ski area in a '73 "Beetle",, the low front end was great for bustin through small avalanches on the roadway but the friggin heater never warmed the thing up!!

Met some folks this weekend at Kamloops,, they live in White Horse BC, Canada,, they have ta drive 18 hrs ta get to the closest DZ, they drove over 1000 miles ta get to the Kamloops Boogie, 24 hrs one way, so no whining,,

Damn he's TALL!! an yes he got his DZ.com shirt ( I'll post the picts later ) an I got my jump ticket an a beer for the delivery,, but he doesn't remember gettin my beer,, we were all at the "Rock'n Firkin".. he was tanked up,, eyelids closing and not spillin a drop,, waited till he was zoned out an tapped him on the shoulder an stuck my glass in front of him... without a pause he say's " Water or Beer?" We did only one jump together,, from a Huey,, an I blew the video cuz the zoom was all the way in!! pissed me off,, but Frank we did get some of ya from Pat an Steve's cameras,, the weather was cool, cold, hot, rainy, sunny, we did several jumps into snow showers,, by the time we jumped outta the Huey my nipples were hard an the boy's were hiding! Frank I'm puttin together a video of the trip an will send ya one,, not the quality Al would do for sure but if ya want a copy send me your address bro,, it was a pleasure ta meet all you great crazy Canuks!! We'll be at Kamloops next year for certain!

I hate friggin packing! with a bad knee, back, neck, and shoulder it is the worst part of jumping for me,, I've only used packers twice, at the Easter Boogie in Eloy an at Kamloops last weekend,, wish we had'em at our lil DZ,, I do enjoy the social aspects and the whole process of packing but it just hurts,, I tipped Anne last weekend a good bit an got a nice hug,, she is headin to Europe in a few months an could use the money,, even if it was Canadian,, she was excellant

Hay Frank,, Got word late last nite that "Gonzo" doesn't have all his ducks ina row when it comes ta paperwork to get in an BACK due ta the mods,, so we won't be flyin in,, and most folks here are wussin out,, butt,, my bud Steve, the DZO's wife Pat, an myslef are still goin,, Pat & I will be driving up in a small motorhome and maybe gettin there about same time or a lil later on Fri,, Steve comes up on Saturday about 1:00,, I'm gonna book a room at the Executive Inn, 10 mins from the DZ for Sat an Sun nights,, send me a PM with your whole name an I'll check with manifest when we get there ta see where your at.... Oh Ye of a little faith!! C'mon an think positive,, think I already said it would be on a steep snow slope with ski's.. does a board count?? Lemmon north of Tucson,, carried 2 cases of beer up to the top of the mountain and then climbed a 300 ft radio tower,, only room for 2 of us on top,, guys at the bottom were gettin bored an started shakin the guylines and the whole top was moving circles 10 ft around,, so we started throwin all our change down,, sounded like missiles at the bottom,, early next morning as we were headin off the mountain,, most of us passed out in the car it comes ta screachin halt,, we all wake think we were in an accident,, Doug was drivin and was freakin,, yellin "Snake!!' I get out an theres this Diamondback rattler sunnin itself on the road,, Doug's a sensitive sort an didn't want ta hurt it,, so I grab it by the neck and stuff it in a sack,, we drive off the mountain and wake up some friends with it...
