Are you Americans crazy enough to put Donald Trump in office?

I've read that Bloomberg has said if it comes down to Trump vs Sanders, he may still run as an Independent. I would absolutely vote for Ron, vs those two. I think he'd take a ton of votes from both sides, (when held up next to those two). I think an inanimate carbon rod would likely garner a third of the vote. ... That's a little bit too spot on.... You need to understand - If you are a bit more eloquent, and state that it's very complex and most people are too stupid to understand it and then explain it in a patronizing way - then it's ok, and you're a good smart (smarter than others) liberal. If you are immediately strawmanned into a cartoon demographic and berated for saying the exact same thing - then you are a simpleton and racist conservative. (we can flip the players if we touch different subjects) What really happened here, is people are people and they have the exact same fears and concerns - yet they are berated or cheered based solely on stupid social/political alignments rather than their actual statements. And we wonder why idiots like the current 5 people (especially Trump) are actually seriously being seen as leaders of the whole thing...... ... This is my experience. I've been jumping since 1987. If an instructor is hung over, or high, or SMELLS like morning cigarettebutts/coffee/halitosis......they usually get benched for the day. If one was seen to be smashed or excessively high the night before - they will be benched. we need to be professional - we don't have to be the All American Poster Boy - but clean, teeth brushed, no tobacco breath, no B.O. or bad breath, etc etc etc - and awake and attentive, and focused on the students, not our own gratification. I recall making the comment during the AFF evals while playing the role of student - the post brief I brought up both BO, and smoker's breath in addition to the 'usual' observations and helps - I expected an angry response, was thrilled to see very positive reception from the candidate. he's a great instructor today and really does think about the customer experience. it's not that difficult Edit: anyway, I think any claims that an instructor is 'bonged' out is super serious and has to be taken seriously. It's not the 70's in skydiving any more. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

no worry then - I don't think Obama or the next guy will nominate Scalia - I think a dead citizen, even if he has a lot of experience in the actual job - will be nominated. but if Kagan is any indication.....an absolute paragon of social and political agenda objectivity ... I'd prefer a SC that judges cases on their merits, and justices whose positions can't be predicted ahead of time based on the party of the president who nominated them. Right now we only seem to have one of those, and he's marginal in that respect. I may have a heart attack, I agree with this. So he wants a judge that spends a lot of time looking at original intent, trying to be objective about it, and not letting personal biases get him away from original intent.......... ... absolutely - in the same vein, if they wanted it rubber stamped, the public should have voted in a hardcore Democrat Senate in 2014 legis and exec just need to follow the process as they are obligated to do - what happens happens. in the meantime - strawmen and chest puffing on both sides will accomplish little other than entertain us ... really!!!! In the Navy, if someone sent Class on the wrong fax machine, we'd be verbally and publicly ripped, have to design a correction plan to shore up the system so it doesn't happen again - and implement it and make sure everyone else in the office was trained on it. Cross communicate the learning to all the other departments. And then be assigned extra shifts (usually 2 straight weeks) of security checking (signoff and double check of all padlocks, phone, fax systems which is required after everyone else locks up and leaves for the day). And this was the response for a much lower level of classification than SecState....... "someone in IT gives you a phone call" RIIIGHHHT ... ^^^^^ this - their roles are defined and they need to do their jobs The whole thing is a big goof - with the sides trying to out strawman themselves while the body is still warm. Both sides need to do their jobs - what the bitching is about is that both sides are whining that these guys doing their jobs won't result in what some people desperately want.....a very biased and unprofessional activist judge that votes in an unbiased way...no, the other way,,.....no, MY way,,,....etc etc etc Exec - It's not a 'right', but it is a 'duty' of the president to come up with nominations. he should do it, without fanfare, timely, and without bitching about some hypothetical response of the Senate. etc - Politicians that aren't Senators - either party - shut up. Legis - It's not a 'right', but it is a 'duty' of the Senate to review and give a thumbs up or down on any nominations put forth. It's their duty also to advise the exec - as it is his duty to listen to the advice. (Advice is not a 'warning shot', listening is not 'ignoring input and then whining to the press') they should do their jobs. If it takes a week, great, if it takes months, great. If it pushes to the next administration - well, there are risks to both teams if that happens but that is also a legal scenario too. That's politics and both sides do it. just the legislative and executive branches doing their jobs is good. using the scenario as a bunch of crappy speech material? painful and zero value added ... I agree with you though. My worry is Rubio is trying to shore up the vote that will eventually come if Trump melts down - which agrees with your take on it. But I worry that's it not pandering, ala John Kerry, but really just showing his true colors......He's essentially Cruz, but with really big ears IMHO - I'm more terrified of lefty and righty "true believers" than I am of "politician for sale" (which is ironic, because I'd have loved to see Ron Paul vs Bernie as an example just to see what the country would do with such a very clear distinction of philosophies) ... I'd still like to know the requirements though. If people want to abuse the term "qualifications" incorrectly, then at least knowing the true baseline let's us understand how the writer is using it. For clarity......Like the president has an age limit, some sort of citizenship requirement, and some sort of "not a felon" kind of thing - I'm not sure about the last one, and some seem to think the 2nd one is flexible......anything else is really, then, just resume content - YMMV ... So Rubio seems to be going all 'fundie' in his speeches lately. I knew he had that aspect of it, but was happier that he wasn't trying to campaign on it in hopes that he would maybe, for once, stay off the social political campaigning EVERYONE ends up selling... Too bad, so sad. Is this calculated to try and get some of Cruz's people over too him - shore up the extreme Reps? In my case, he's starting to look less and less like the best of 3 bad front runners. Now he's, to me, just another version of why I don't like Cruz. maybe even worse on that aspect ... I don't think even a law degree is actually required... Do you have the list of official qualifications (not a list of what people think or like to have, but the legal requirements). I'm sad about the (very small) group of fringies that are celebrating a man's death because.....POLITICS. On the plus side, in my circle of friends, I don't see more than one or two of the hard lefties that are actually crowing and happy, most of the more....enthusiastic....lefties are still being human about it. Apparently not so on discussion forums.... I'm sure his family is quite happy about it too. IMO? Any selection criteria designed to confirm a political BIAS (a 'litmus test') is a huge sign that it's flawed. I think judges should have a proven record to interpret to original intent DESPITE any biases in their personal opinions. i.e., they have to prove able to to the job no matter how they lean. Too bad the hope of either party is just the exact opposite.... I think the guy in charge now, and the top 5 candidates for the job next Nov ALL would pick people that would completely be biased in the their job....scratch that, I have NO IDEA what Trump would do, and not in a good way. That said - Bernie, Hillary, Cruz and Rubio would be a nightmare to me - as is Obama - in terms of picking a judge ... I don't have to convince them of anything - just how I'd vote.
