This has just about as much credibility as the "offer" made by Donald Trump. Both are media whores with an agenda and should never be taken seriously. absolutely - I'd think if he can expose them, he'd just do it before the weekend to get the most mileage out of the news with voters. No reason to offer to let them 'come clean' by now. ... So what we have is just one group that wants to be excepted from ObamaCare so they can keep their own arrangement. It's pretty funny - the supporters of ObamaCare think it's the greatest thing of all time - for everyone else. I really think that those that want this program fall into three groups: 1 - those that don't have their own policy and want someone else to pay 2 - those that want to push the political agenda and fully expect to be excepted from the program because they already have a sweeter deal than most 3 - sheep I think these horrible programs and initiatives are done that way on purpose, just so politicians can extend their influence under the ability to grant exceptions. ... Bah, I sure hope Libertarians would turn down federal matching funds. HA! that's a great point And a great example of how quickly principle will crumble under the weight of money. How can you say? - they haven't been offered it yet. Seems to me it'll be the first test. ... I'm more Libertarian in philosophy than either of the two "spend and spend more" parties. (i.e., fiscally very conservative, socially I'd like people to make their own choice and then not have me pay for them). However - I don't see third party votes being really philosophically based. But rather more as a protest to the two major options. So I respect that 3rd party vote when it's FOR that candidate. But I consider it wasted when it's just an act of rebellion/withdrawal from the contest. do you know what I'm saying here? ... I think in the last few presidencies, the selection of VP by the Pres has been very strategic as a "protection method to avoid assassinations". You really have to wonder if that wasn't the primary reason for the selection in the first place. Seriously: Biden, Cheney, Gore, Quayle Seriously, name me a single nutbag from the opposite team that would have wanted to switch to the VP at the time. Frankly, name me single nutbag from either team that would want to switch any of these 4 at ANY time. {{Sure, Gore took a run at it later, but I suspect everyone from both teams is breathing a big sigh of relief now that his fermenting personality is becoming more and more apparent.}} ... I believe that - disenchanted Dems would likely vote third party. It's hard to give up all the brainwashing, stereotypes and strawman arguments they've embraced over the year about "that other evil party". (I'd happily print the same thing and switch the party names if the post I replied to had come from the other direction - fanatics on both teams seem to vote "against the other guy no matter what" rather than decide what to vote for - that's why when their guy turds into a pile of crap they think it's the OMG END OF THE UNIVERSE AND HOPELESS FOR MANKIND) ... He's not throwing his vote away. He's very clear in that he understands the impact of not choosing one of the other two. If he understands that impact, then he's not throwing it away. If he didn't, then I'd agree with you. But he does. (What I don't understand is the rationalization of 'being so disgusted with republicans' that he can't vote for Romney - the ballot will say "Romney" it won't say "Republicans" - I vote for the individual and the policies they say they stand for. Party line voting is lazy.) ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

Two replies to Pirana to make him chuckle - it's tongue and cheek, J. 1 - his post ended with "people just want to express their feeling" - I replied with "makes me sad" 2 - alternate reply - he talks about using logic and thinking instead of emotions - I offered that the normal response to that is emotive name calling from both extremes - sometimes at once Pirana and I are friends and I was responding to his response which was in the same tone. Wry amusement at the nature of today's society. It's either wry amusement or despair. I try to select the former whenever possible. it's Friday, it's snowing, no jumping this weekend in our neck of the woods - today's posts will primarily be mockery or teasing. have a good weekend ... sure, here's one example - if someone specifically (hires a less qualified candidate, refuses to rent, refuses to buy/sell them product, treats them mean) based solely on race only preference. See, that's based on their actions. Words are cheap. but I'd likely not waste self congratulatory time calling them names, I'd rather just see them see legal action asap - which would end up having them labeled at that time. Do you believe there are any verbal debates that you won't try to muffle by calling anyone a racist? Do you believe there any anti-Obama discussions that are not racist? Do you think that Obama doesn't frequently and purposely try to leverage race for his direct political benefit? Do you believe that racism is only against a single race? Do you think it's worse than sexism/classism or any other pointless and cruel behavior that's based on any criteria other than individual behavior. ... Are you assuming in a very biased way that all his charitable donations went to the LDS?
