I posted this in the wrong place. Sorry greenies. I meant to make it in Talkback. matt

don't forget it's a sign of affection from the cat. SHe brings it to you as an offering, a submissive thing b/c you're the boss, rather then just eating it herself. my aunt's one cat Bear did it all the time. We'd never see him eat one though.

Berglene --- polypro --- from EMS. Can be found at EMS.com. not advertising here. just IMO the best stuff around. Silk is pretty good too. matt

ok... so I tried the obvious "freefall" for my new ISP. that's taken. Any ideas? I know I'm only a newbie to the sport, but it's already an addiction
-
that rocked. thanks for sharing murrays...
-
my handwritting/note taking ability gets, well, sloppy after a few... but the stills I take seem to get better.

ciao bella... Can I come to Tuscany and share a bottle of Chianti Classico too? I've got to get my jump numbers up first, but somplace warmer then here. One friend wants to go to Australia. I wouldn't mind Colorado or Cali or somewhere warm...

"The press is probally making a huge deal out of nothing." More then likely.. you're right. I find my end of "the media"... TV News. Talking about the same things over and over and over and over again so tending to jump at any little info that's thrown out there. The whole slow news day syndrome magnified b/c like many stations mine has something like 6 hours to fill every day so the commercials don't bump into each other. matt

Murrays right on... 25 asa for bright sunlight I remember being between 1/30th to 1/60th. Not sure of the aperature b/c I'd run Matrix metering mode on my Nikon, but I do know it was close to the edges of my slow 35-80mm lens. I love shooting night exposures with it. Up to 5 minute exposures and the colors are great. Or close/macro shots that you can blow up to poster size without getting grainy. I had a photo store owner tell me that Kodak wasn't making 25 anymore. Since then I really haven't been looking hard. Still can't find it when I check occasionally. matt

What was the most unique or memorable jump you made in 2002?

my beer jump 8-13-02 was great, but my b-day jump with 6 friends & family doing tandems rocked. My godfather, his daughter and I all share the same birthday 09-19. So we got together and jumped to celebrate. It was an off day at the DZ so the pilot and everybody else came in... (thanks guys) I've got about 40 min of mini-dv from that day. (thanks to MX and Adam) I'll do it this year myself, lets just see how many people I can get to come along with me. matt -
"here's my PW contribution" a fine one at that... I just wish I could get on the FTP site to check out some of the video with my new cable connection

same problems here.

Where are you getting your hands on 50 asa/iso? I love shooting 25 if I could get some around here I'd be happy. I haven't seen any in photoshops near me for a couple years. thanks matt

What's your favorite sport besides skydiving?
newshooter12 replied to sweeney's topic in The Bonfire
the ones I would be doing aren't on there. snowboarding/skiing... climbing. motorcycles (just sold mine though) -
The cases really aren't realated. That was intentional. I was just trying to establish the fact that, at least in my state, people are law suit happy and that has a tendoncy to keep others from sticking their necks out to help. C?

Don't forget the McDonalds' "HOT COFFEE" lawsuit, too... I wish the society I live in didn't bite so many people in the ass when they try to help. But there are many people, if you can still call them human, that leach off others missteps through the legal system. New York State, my homestate, is one of the most conservative in many ways. It has it's ying and yang effects, if you will, because of it. As for the Drivers courses... the ones I have taken don't even touch CPR or any other first responder type medical procedures. The only physiology I got was about alcohol/drugs and DWI, DUI, DWAI. matt

Good call... didn't know he was a "Pro." At least it slipped my mind. The whole light some flares... turn on your flashers, strobe lights, set up traffic cones (no I don't carry them in my personal car, but do in many of the vehicles I drive at work). I agree with and would do. Thankfully all the times I've seen serious accidents where people needed immediate help EMTs, Police and the like were all there before me. matt

Sorry... forgot to say congrats
-
ok... this may be a stupid question, but when haven't you been famous or at least the center of attention???

The safest thing a person can do is GET HELP!! (professional help) and as quickly as you can. (cell phone, call box, CB, whatever) I've called in accidents before... granted nothing deadly or bloody. IMO it is very sad that the people that are willing to help where they can without hurting anyone in the process open themselves up to lawsuits for their kindness. Matt

Airmail - I think I saw that cutaway... How's your rib feeling from the tree? That is if it was your cutaway that I saw. My first time seeing a cutaway. Only 5 jumps for me... 3 tandems. 2 AFF. Many more to come in 03. maybe even my beer rig.
