  1. I feel a bit like a camel walking through a never ending desert. I'm a bit parched.
  2. I've got you beat sad as that is to say... Last SO with no more then cunnling... 9 months. Last sex about 20 months and counting. that's a dry spell
  3. ouch... normally I'm off Tues/wed, but b/c of our contract Christmas works by a signup list then the empty spots get filled from the bottom up, seniority wise. I somehow managed to get new years eve and day off for the first time in about 5 years, but have no plans.
  4. me too... working from 9:30 to 6 p.m. so at least I'll be able to make dinner with the fam at my aunts.
  5. it can't be that bad... just say you're focusing your energy for one big tantric release.
  6. thanks again for the good info... what kind of donations do you want for Christmas?
  7. I finished all my Christmas shopping today and am bored now... I may have to resort to laudry or something tomorrow. matt
  8. I've been stuck here for a while too... it feels a bit like purgatory. I think it's 300 posts before the next level. matt

    300 way

30 seconds is pretty long for a news story too... my station would probably try to break it down to 15.
  10. What happened to Beer Pong, Caps and Hockey?
  11. Quade - you're spot on with the analog/dig microwave comparison. I had a live shot today with a conventional microwave ENG truck that should have been really easy to get a good signal. I was within a stone's throw of the tower I was trying to hit, but ended up with a very marginal signal b/c of "multi-path" reflections/bounces... It can be a royal pain some days. I'm not an engineer, but how does the newer system get rid of the multipath so well? matt
  12. I hate to disagree with Phree, but while they both have their uses. Snowboarding gets my vote. I'd certainly do powder on either. Any kind of traversing on skis. Bumps, unless you're a master on a board, skis are more fun. Ice - my morrow truth does better then any skis I've owned have. -For one it has a more friendly learning curve then skiing. -The clothing/equipment tends to be a bit more relaxed and comfortable than ski gear. -I think a snowboard has a more natural and relaxed body position. -Fewer sharp objects to hurt yourself with when you fall... because we all have seen some nasty yard sales on the ski slopes. -Less to keep track of on and off the hill. -Newer Tech... you don't have to sit on your ass anymore to strap each run. Some step in bindings are the best of both worlds. (support/flexibility and speed) -My board keeps me out of the bumps... where I've had too many people I know blow out their knees. Just do what've makes you happier. Their both fun and the lift ticket costs the same either way. Matt P.S. I got a bit burnt out from skiing (instructing level 1s to be more precise) and it's a new challenge. ***Disclaimer*** (I ski instructed, @Holiday Valley, for three seasons during college and have been skiing since I could walk. My parents started me on cross country skies when I started walking and I picked up Alpine from a friends dad when I was 10. Started with my first board in highschool, sold it for new skis, borrowed gear while instructing, then bought another board when I graduated from college.)
  13. what happened to your head??? Doesn't look like you anymore
  14. I only paid a $30 parking ticket when I got pulled over for 71 in a 55 in NY. Ouch... $240 is a lot of jumps.

    burnout?

Don't get to excited I think you'll end up in a more basic job for a while after your training. (before you're specialty) At least according to the people I know that have gone with the Navy and a friend's dad that's a recruiter. matt
  16. While you're on the subject, can anyone explain when to light which candles on a Manorah (SP?)? We've got one at work, not sure how it goes though, and the resident Hebrew employee wasn't around to explain it. A co-worker walked by thinking the bulbs were out. After tinkering with it for a bit got all of them lighted and walked away happy that he "fixed" it. We all laughed later. matt
  17. Thanks I needed that. Seeing Marcel, Brian and John(?) ROFLMAO..... I can't wait until next season. matt
  18. I picked up a wristmount, works for me. My AFF instructor told me the only real reason he wears a chest mount as well is so his student or whoever he's jumping with can be more A/A and check easily. matt
  19. Not to hijack a thread, but since the pros are here... I think I've got the whole "pre-second" rule down. And I bought my TM beer for jump 1 & 2. I was thinking that I'd hold off on more beer until I finish AFF and just pick up a keg for that weekend? Would that be appropriate? matt
  20. There's a couple sweet 60-80' cliffs in Wellsely Is. St. Park, Thousand Islands, NY. I wish I could have seen my own face when I went over a pine tree down the cliff.... Should have scouted it better, but fun non-the-less.
