You could always ask Airmail. I saw the tail end of his 2 out. (cypres fire while main was out i do believe) I just heard some comotion and popped my head out of the barn in time to see the main floating above the tree line. Scared a few people, but he was ok.

The weather f-d me at the end of last season, so i'm starting over at AFF II again as soon as my DZ starts AFF again.

Letter from Marine In Iraq 'To The Great City of Chicago'
newshooter12 replied to bodypilot90's topic in The Bonfire
I think he's refering to the fact that we have a right to express our opinions, but would like us to do so peacefully if we so choose to protest. I'd like to shake his hand and say thank you... Godspeed. matt -
sounds like the whole John Walker Lynd story from afghanistan... well sort of.

but don't all her flaps make her more aerodynamic?

but ramen is the perfect, "i'm drunk and hungry," food. really hard to mess up and no sharp objects needed to prepare, unless you count a spoon or spork... matt

this may be off topic, but when i used to ski instruct and was up and down the hill all day. I used to have less trouble with pressure from flying then since i quit. I'm thinking it has, at least for me, a lot to do with conditioning. matt

we can take a similar class in NY too, but it only lowers points. doesn't get rid of the ticket.

if that's who they pick to reproduce... heaven help us...

this whole thread is making my stomach growl. time to eat

i've heard the one in NJ is pretty good. A friend, theme park nut, goes there a couple times a year... or at least used to when he lived near there. matt

another place worth looking at is www.promax.com My brother and his friend bought a whole system, a couple monitors, decks, and hard drives through them. Great customer support from what they've said. Just my $.02 that if you want a system for editing it may be best to go with a complete system built for the specific NLE software. It has saved a lot of hastles for the people that I know. matt

that reminds me of the Commodore 64 with tape drive that my family had a long time ago. I wonder how long it will take to back up your hard disc... matt
-
Just my $.02. The people that fly video at my DZ and also have still capabilities just had off a roll of film to the customer with their completed video. No extra charge and that way the customer is responsible for all the prints, processing, etc...

I looked at the tape prices back a while... MV @ $12-15 each... MiniDV @ $4-7 each. at Circuit City in individual or small packs (60 minutes SP). I'm sure the rest of the people here will chime in with answers to the rest of your questions. matt -
you can always try KEH.com as well. my brother and i have bought a good amount of gear from them and have been satisfied. their rating system is accurate and fair. You've really got to call them when you're ready to order to find out what is in stock though because the used stuff flies off the shelf pretty quickly usually. matt

You'll probably have a whole lot more sunlight during the summer then i will down here, but that cuts down on the chances for sunset loads... My favorite time to jump so far. (a couple tandems at that time of day so far, no AFF yet though) matt

i'm in a similar position too. the weather didn't work in my favor, or my work schedule, to finish AFF last season. I'm sure i'll have to wait and see what my AFF instructors say when they start back up in April. matt P.S. I think i'm starting to enjoy the butterflies though. Just means i like it i guess. I'm getting more excited then anything.
