At least now I know what my canopy looks like from the ground

Reminds me of when I were a student. All the student rigs had the same container, only with different colours for different sizes. Most of the mains where yellow and after a couple of jumps I got used to looking up at that yellow canopy. Then on my fifth jump or so, I look up and there is a blue and white canopy . Same type of canopy (only with microlines). Definetly a fun experience, altough I got a little nervous at first Glad you got beer -

Would it not be more appropriate if people were sued for not stopping to help. IMO you have a duty to. As for the McDonnalds coffee lawsuit, I can't see from the link erno posted that it's not that simple. They served hot coffee, and coffee is supposed to be hot. Coffee should be brewed at about 190-200F so 180F (85C) is what a fresh brewed cup of coffee should be. Sure McDonnalds knew that people could get burned from their coffee. DUH!!! If one don't know that coffee is hot, I seriously doubt one can read the warning label. There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Twice... Once a bicycle accident right outside my door. (Man unconcious. Hadn't fastned his helmet strap..., Second one was this monday. My neighbours smoke detector had gone of. Nobody home. I heard the alarm and didn't want to ignore it (obviously) so I call the fire department (110). They came and busted in the door to find a smoke detector that had gone off for no good reason. I hope my neighbour had insurance that covered for the busted door There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

There were a service bullitin abou this once. A metallic sleeve had to be installed around the cypress to protect it against radio interference. Now they are all updated so that it no longer is required. As mentioned at: http://www.pia.com/SSK/cypres/cypres06.pdf Personally I try to not use my cellphone too close to my cypress. When I'm on the plane I turn my mobile off, as it can interfer with flight instruments. Usually I don't got it with me though. There are only 10 types of people in the world. I decided to not go on a the last load of the season because the winds seemd gusty, unstble and not safe (for me at least). After they jumped out of the plane, the winds picked up. I knew I made the right decision when i saw one guy with a stilleto 135 (or something simular) hanging on his frontriser and still going backwards. No one got hurt. At least half of the load landed out and one guy just hooked down as usual. Kinda impressive, but then again. He is good... There are only 10 types of people in the world. Poor guy who owns the truck.... I hate parking tickets. Got way to many. Mainly because my gf used to live in this area were it was impossible to park. Once I parked at 01:00 am and when I came back 07:00 am I've gotten a ticket for parking 40cm to close to a turn. Another time I got a ticket wich said I had parked on the other side of the street from where I parked legally. Tried to complain but no luck... Well, first of all I would not have a car to drive anymore I don't think I would stop driving though, but then again I've driven daily for more than 8 years (as log as I've had my license) without any accident of any kind so far. No speed tickets (pure luck!!!). Some parking tickets (I hate those nazis!) Answer: Reconsidder driving myself, probably not stop driving cars. But it's a bit different than the cypres thing. The difference is that the cypress fires at 750' If you haven't pulled (Reserve at that alti) by then, it's to late. My reason for posting this poll were to learn how people look at their cypres, what's their limits and how they considder the cypress in their risk calculation. Well, if they are someone elses, it always good to keep some of them in your wallet. When ever you talk to someone you don't want to hear from again, give them one. Had a PD190. It was fun to fly, but impossible to land. (full porosity fabric) I loaded it at about 1:1. According to the seller, it had 350 jumps, but he said he thought the previous owner probably had lied on the jumps because it didn't flare any good. Probably it has 600++ Maybe it will work at .9, will be carefull if I sell it to anyone. Think it can be useful as a tent, sleeping bag or something simular to that... Don't pay much for a f111 canopy today. You probably never be able to sell it again. I got myself a new Hornet for 790 euro

I agree on the gollum part. Very nice! Also I found that the movie actually made the story much more clear to me. (What happens where, etc, etc.) The book is so full of differnent names for the same places and a little hard to follow sometimes (even the 4th 5th and 6th time). Can't wait to read the book again
