Then, 2 days later, they announced that Social Security was having a budget crisis... Then, 2 days later, they announced that some people, mainly senior citizens were dying from the shots. The program was cancelled. Probably nothing more than a coincidence...

During the election, when a Dem was making racist remarks about Obama, not a peep from Carter. Of course, it was Bill Clinton who was admonished by his own party and wife over the two incidents.

clicky I wonder why he never said anything during the campaign when Bill Clinton made his racial attacks on Obama in N Carolina and Miss. Even Hillary thought he was out of line. Carter was always an embarrassment, but he has become such an obvious political tool.

Years ago, the US and USSR would get into debates on "human rights" violations. The US would make certain accusations about free speech. The USSR would insist that human rights included the right to a job and healthcare.

Not only privatize, but outsource. For anyone sentence to more than 25 years, send them to Bangladesh. And import Chinese prison wardens to manage it. (The Indians are outsourcing to China now) If the bribe the guards and escape, it improves the local economy because bribes are paying part of the guards salary. Escapes reduce the overall cost of running the prison and ease overcrowding. Plus, they're in another country.

They are analogous in terms of what we are defining as a problem. They are people who are dating someone with other motivations than the other "person". It's not my business. Other people have problems that are as simple as living every day. If people find something that works for them, cool. Glad to hear it. Most of the conversation here seems to be, "It's not for me" and "It doesn't fit my definition of relationship". Ok, don't. Walk to the curb and find something that they do like. Sometimes in life, things aren't that good. Sometimes it is enough to take away a negative. A person may not need an expensive vacation. Maybe they just need a day off. Maybe just to worry a little less about their bills. Some people have everything they want except someone attractive to spend time with and laugh over drinks. If the primary driver is looks or money, and both people are happy, then I'm thinking they should keep doing that because it works for them. If someone wants a reason why people accept a different measurement of value in their relationships, it is because people need different stuff. That doesn't make them wrong.

Intelligence is only a tool. Character is it's application. It can be conniving and devious, so it cannot be a measurement by itself.

Now it's been replaced by a bunch of vulchers... The guy made the comment to me about 6 months ago about all the vultures congregating on his roof... OR used to be a place that all the kiddie-tennis stars lived because they trained at the place on the curve. I met the national teen tennis champ of Lebanon and thought, "Yeah, how many people are playing tennis in Lebanon this year?" To give these guys credit, at least they are neat. I lived in Oak Ramble for two years in the mid-90s. Nice place. It was pretty nice, well-maintained, pool, tennis. It had a couple of eagles who lived at the top of a dead tree. They would swoop in and nab some squirrels on occasion. Very cool.

There are beautiful women who do not treat men well because they don't have to. There are 50 men who ask them out. Regardless of treatment, 10 will return. The expectation of the women is the best treatment. Their online dating-site picture is their equivalent of the salary-range-button. For rich men, there is a line of women out there who want to date them, regardless of treatment. For either sex, there is an allure to getting your way all the time. If I had a way to choose a life free of conflict, I would certainly do that. People who don't want to participate, do not have to. They just have to date other rich/beautiful people. looks + personality + money = date People should place stress on the column that is the most important in their life. What makes them happy is their choice.

Most online sites have "the button". It is a set of radio buttons that you select to define your date. One of those buttons is the salary range. So, apparently, having a certain income range is important to a lot of people. People want the best possible person for a long term relationship. Usually, a good income is part of an overall picture. - Probably well educated. - Financial security for the person and their entire family. - The best education, care, and living environment for the possible future kids. There are many valid reasons for clicking the button at a certain level. Every normal person desires to date someone who treats them well. For wealthy people, there is a long line of people who will do that, so their expectations are higher.
