Next year, you should get current earlier so you can do 10-way speed with Van Break.

People should think through comments like that before posting. It is getting a little tiring. Think of the value of the work of a persons entire life. I do not believe you can equate sex with that. TW is not just a golfer/athlete. He is an exceptional one. He makes millions of dollars per year. Everyone is sitting around discussing her like she is poor little Miss Super-wonderful. Has anyone forgotten the golf club incident ? Isn't anyone wondering why she isn't in jail right now? Seems like a golf club to the head would be murder. That should be a pre-nup breaker for any judge. This may just be the tip of the misery iceberg that Tiger has been living with.

Anyone enjoy deer hunting over the thanksgiving break?
happythoughts replied to BETO74's topic in The Bonfire
There have been many articles about the exploding deer population problem in Georgia. "exploding deer" That sounds dangerous. -
Early Old Testament. The first five books are called the "Pentateuch". Very nasty stuff. Deuteronomy has lots of rules. Most of them invoke stoning to death as punishment. My personal favorite is 21:18-21. (paraphrased)If a man has a stubborn and unruly son who will not listen or obey, take him to the village elders, and have all the citizens stone him to death. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst, and all shall fear. If your kid doesn't listen, you can kill him. It says so in the bible. What if the problem is that he is already stoned ? "We are taking you to the village elders and you are going to be stoned." "Kewl."

What are your favorite 'people-isms"?

Don't bring up the topic of escalators. Last week, one broke while I was on it. I was stuck there for nearly an hour. -
This is the funniest thing that I've read in months.

Leviticus 25:44 King James version Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids. (Essentially, anybody who wasn't from Israel was a heathen) So, if you are having any Canadians over, you get to keep them.

I think this is the moment that can define enlightenment. Someone once asked Buddha what happened to us after we die. His response was, "Once you achieve enlightenment, all your questions will fall away." John, I think that this may be that last final question. Once you have this final answer, they will all be answered. When you are One With The Universe, remember the little people.

...that's gonna make it tough. Knocked out my best 4 suggestions.

Ok... let's say that you have a 19yo child who does the Goth thing and walks around with black clothes, fingernails, lips, and hair. That pic is what they will look like when they come to see you at Thanksgiving dinner.

I heard a comedian say that people don't generally change their look. Too many people keep the style that they had when they got married (20-odd years ago). Everyone thinks that is ok for them. Imagine the future...

So... the revised "car accident" story is probably... Tiger admits affair to wife. Wife assumes that righteous indignation allows spouse to beat Tiger with metal object. Tiger runs to car. Wife breaks windows of car. Tiger decides that car is not drivable. (where can you drive with multiple windows broken?) Really, when was the last time that you heard of anyone being rescued by breaking more than one window of a car ? (except blonde jokes) Sometimes breaking one is required.

I agree with you. In almost every case, I find that religious people define their version of their beliefs and then search for a religious institution that agrees with it. Usually the tactic is to find people that have similar beliefs and then start attending church with them. It gives the "I must be right because everyone at church agrees with me".
-
Now who would believe that?? The film won't verify it unless someone else is in it.

Well, in fairness the mechanical vibrations could have been detected by laser interferometry and subsequently converted to that which we perceive as sound. Hah! That has been used for measurements of gravity and the like, but we need to base this discussion on facts - the General Theory of Relativity is just that - a theory.

What is this talk of assigning value? Does music have a value? Art? Painting? Singing? Running? Jumping? Playing? What would the world be like without song? If someone writes a song, or paints a painting, that people enjoy for centuries - what value does it have ? I may not watch golf on tv or listen to rap "music", that is only my choice. I wish I could get $10 million for throwing a ball.

If that were the case, then the countries of Europe, with their interconnected economies, would not have to fear war from one another. There is an interesting book that I read many years ago. The Sovereign State of ITT It talks about how the CEO of ITT had dinner with Hitler twice in Germany during the height of WWII. Also how he possessed a 25% interest in the company producing Germany's war planes. If Germany won, he would be rich. He also provided wire-tap information to Germany in occupied countries. Multi-national corporations can transact larger sums of money than the GDP of some countries.

Anyone who believes that Mjöllnir (Thor's hammer) is capable of leveling mountains is thought to be crazy. Sounds like ridiculous superstition. The Mayans believed for centuries that human sacrifice would overcome drought. to eliminate drought. Anyone support that? Dangerous superstition. How about Druid magical elfstones? Invisibility? All the past religions had sacred books. Now we have a current crop of sacred texts and mythical beings that are just as laughable. Do people ridicule the current religions? Absolutely, as they should.
